Rumor: The Joker Origin movie will be “super dark” and “real” whatever the hell that means
Actually, we all know what “super dark” means in the DCU, don’t we? Grimdark angsty bullshit. Who knows. Maybe this movie will rule. It’s sunny out, I’m four Diet Dews deep, and my usual disdain for the DCU is simmering below the surface. It exists, but it can’t punch through.
This movie is going to suck.

Joker and Harley Quinn Movie also in development, will be in the DCEU. What the hell is going on?
So, sweet fucking Christ. In the past day, the Slop Culture EchoChamber learned about a standalone Joker movie, starring someone other than Jared Leto, which will take place outside the DCEU. Then, we learned that the Ben Affleck-powered The Batman will also take place outside the DCEU. Now finally, we have learned that there’s a Joker and Harley Quinn movie in development, which does star Jared Leto, and will take place in the DCEU.
What the fuck is going on.
Jared Leto has joined ‘Blade Runner 2’ in “Key Role”
One of the saddest things about Jared Leto sucking in Suicide Squad and seeming to be a complete dildo in real life is that he’s got some serious acting chops. Here’s hoping his performance in Blade Runner 2 helps us forget the former, and appreciate the latter.
DC Comic will reveal The Joker’s real name this Summer
Listen. If I had to suffer through the shitty reveal of Wolverine’s “real identity”, you DC folk are going to have to suffer through the reveal of The Joker’s real name. After it occurs, do as I did for Logan’s, and just will it out of your brain. You’ll fail. But will it.
Rumor: ‘Batman’ solo movie to feature The Red Hood, Joker, based off “A Death In The Family”
The Batman solo flick is the one movie I’m really, really, really sweating in the DCU. Primarily because I think Ben Affleck is a talented director (if he ends up directing the movie, which he keeps wavering on, but I have faith), and the movie, won’t, you know, involve Zack Snyder. Details are beginning to emerge (or purportedly emerge, I guess) about the movie, and whelp. It seems interesting.

‘LEGO Batman’ movie casts Zach Galifianakis as The Joker
Zach Galifianakis? As the Joker? Sure! I don’t really have a problem with it. LEGO Batman (by virtue of the original LEGO movie) is going to have such a whacky tone that this seems perfectly fine.
