Joseph Gordon-Levitt Asked Directly About Robin, Plays It Coy. Atta Boy.

JGL continues to keep hope alive for me. I want me a Robin in Dark Knight Rises. Listen man, I’m not talking about some circus motherfucker. I’m talking about a Nolanized version of the character. Simply put: someone who can don the cowl and continue the symbolism that Wayne created in the first movie.

JGL was asked about Robin, and boy did he play a fun game of equivocation.

Check Out Bruce Willis In Johnson’s ‘Looper.’

Us here in the Den of Omega are big fans of both Rian  Johnson and science fiction. The fact that they’re coming together in ‘Looper’ has us a bit erect. So while it’s typically not worth pumping one out over a single promo picture, I’m pretty stoked for this shot of Bruce Willis in said sci-fi flick.

Check out the big piggy after the break.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard’s Roles In ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Announced!

Warner Bros. has gone up and announced the roles that JGL and Marion Cotillard will be playing in “The Dark Knight Rises.” Either all the rumors have been very, very wrong, or there will be some double identities afoot. Which would make sense, given, you know, the universe.

Hit the jump for the spoilers.

Wait, Maybe Joseph Gordon-Levitt Isn’t Alberto Falcone.

The amazing adventure that is guessing Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s role in The Dark Knight Rises continues. Back in the day, he was totally the Riddler. Then he was Robin. Then he was Alberto Falcone. Supposedly. Then he was confirmed as Alberto Falcone by Variety. Now he’s unconfirmed.

Of course.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Is Officially Alberto Falcon in ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’

JGL. First rumored, and now signed to The Dark Knight Rises. JGL. First rumored, and now confirmed to be playing Alberto Falcone in The Dark Knight Rises. Nolan’s trilogy takes a thematically sensible turn, tying all the movies together with a throwback to Falcone in the original flick, with a son that’s inspired by Joker’s escalation of the game in the second.

New Rumor! Joseph Gordon-Levitt To Play Alberto Falcone In Next Batman.

The rumor machine chugs along! Nothing can stop it. Except the dastardly Truth which won’t be rearing its had around The Dark Knight Rises for a good while now. The latest rumor? Fuck Robin! Joseph Gordon-Levitt is going to be playing Alberto Falcone. It’s just a rumor, but it makes some good fucking sense.

Robin in The Dark Knight Rises? Rumors A-Go-Go!

Is Robin coming to The Dark Knight Rises? I speculated upon that shit last week, when it was announced JGL is negotiating to be in the flick. Now the rumor mill has begun to churn, steam rising and gears crunching.

Slashfilm:

But a report from a Michigan NBC affiliate might now suggest otherwise. According to reports, location scouts for  The Dark Knight Rises were in Grand Ledge, MI recently and were looking at a water treatment plant to possibly be used as “a hideout for Batman’s sidekick Robin.” Are the location scouts being misquoted? Could this just be a red herring? Or are they possibly referring to another Robin? Read all the possibilities and quotes after the jump.

I don’t blame anyone who initially balks at the concept. In fact, both Nolan and Bale have publicly stated in the past they didn’t think it was the best idea.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt In Talks To Join ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. FAP.

For a good amount of time last year, it was speculated that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was going to be in the next Batman flick. I was stoked. There were senseless rumors being thrown around, that he’d be the Riddler and such. These rumors were seemingly quashed last year when it was announced that Inception co-star Thomas Hardy was going to be in The Dark Knight Rises. While I love the dude, I was bummed. Lucky for me, hope springs fucking eternal.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is officially in talks to join Batman 3 / The Dark Knight Rises / Get Me A fucking Bat-Burger, Alfred.

This evening, Slashfilm reported the following:

Deadline has confirmed something that has been suspected for some time — Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in talks to reunite with his Inception director Christopher Nolan in The Dark Knight Rises. No one knows what role he will play, but rumor sites have been suspecting that Hugo Strange is part of the threequel story.

Where there’s fire, there’s apparently smoke! Sexy, JGL smoke. Joey as Hugo Strange? Sign me up. But I’m calling it now, JGL as fucking Robin.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt As the Villain In Batman 3? Wut? Maybe? Wut!!!

The Riddler?

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is one hell of an actor. 500 Days of Summer? Word. Brick? Double word. GI Joe? TRIPLE.FUCKING.WORD. And this summer he’s in Christopher Nolan’s Inception. But is the dude in Christopher Nolan’s Batman 3? It just might fucking be!

via slashfilm:

First up, Mr. Gordon-Levitt. This comes from Deadline and Movieline sister gossip site Hollywood Life, which claims that JGL has been tapped to play the Riddler in Batman 3. There’s no substantiation to this, and since we don’t even know if the script is finished (fairly certain it is not) it seems too early to call. But JGL is in Christopher Nolan’s Inception, which makes it a lot easier to believe than almost every other Batman 3 rumor we’ve heard;   supposedly the rumor originated in a joke or comment made on the Inception set. And it certainly seems like a good idea.

For what it’s worth, however, JGL’s reps have already denied this, according to The Wrap. So leave it alone for now and wait for the script to be delivered

So it’s already been denied, but fuck, what does that really mean? At the very least it’s intriguing, and gets my pants in a twist. I’d be on board. Quadruple word!
