Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard’s Roles In ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Announced!

Warner Bros. has gone up and announced the roles that JGL and Marion Cotillard will be playing in “The Dark Knight Rises.” Either all the rumors have been very, very wrong, or there will be some double identities afoot. Which would make sense, given, you know, the universe.

Hit the jump for the spoilers.

WB Press Release via Slashfilm:

Cotillard will appear as Miranda Tate, a Wayne Enterprises board member eager to help a still-grieving Bruce Wayne resume his father’s philanthropic endeavors for Gotham. Gordon-Levitt will play John Blake, a Gotham City beat cop assigned to special duty under the command of Commissioner Gordon.

I don’t think it’s beyond Talia al Ghul to adopt a second identity, right? I mean, c’mon. Papa Ghul rocked out a double identity throughout the entire first movie. My money is still on Talia. And as far as John Blake goes, maybe he’ll go as far as filling in for Batman, adopting a Robin-esque identity that’s been hinted at? Batman’s presence has sent the concept of double identities soaring through the roof! Perhaps? Maybe? Fuck, I need this movie.
