‘Extraordinary X-Men’ is new flashship X-Title, post-‘Secret Wars.’
Extraordinary X-Men is going to be Marvel’s flagship X-Title coming out of Secret Wars. The team seems comprimised of a pretty interesting cast of character, and more importantly: Jeff Lemire is penning it.
Monday Morning Commute: [[Console Cowboys | Cero Miedo]]
Welcome to Monday Morning Commute, friends. It’s pretty much the end of the day here on the Eastern Coast of the Empire, but hey. I’m but one FictionMan, attempting to cobble together the disparate entities of the Space-Ship into one meandering husk. So forgive me! And I have to cop to you. A variety of Really Privileged Problems have me a bit worn down, today. Oh, I got married. Boohoo. Oh, I was lucky enough to come back and have to start my job I have immediately. Wah wah. Oh, I’m buying a house and all that financial expenditure is sort of terrifying. Cry more. I get it.
‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ is the official title of ‘Guardians’ sequel
The title! Good call, fitting in thematically? Or! Bad call, milking the novelty of the mixtape to death? What do you think? ‘Cause I don’t know.
Visceral’s ‘Star Wars’ game is going to be in style of ‘Uncharted.’ Bless The Force.
Well, I suppose this makes sense. According to the actor behind Nathan Drake, the collective talent that left Naughty Dog and the Uncharted series to make a Star Wars game will be making a game similar to Uncharted. Go figure. And I cannot fucking wait.
First Look: ‘Ghostbusters’ uniforms from Paul Feig’s reboot
I don’t care enough about Ghostbusters to either get excited, or nitpick these new uniforms from Paul Feig’s reboot. But maybe you do care enough for either of those actions! What do you think?
Justin Lin shares first ‘Star Trek Beyond’ photo, confirms title
Justin Lin is working on the next Star Trek flick, a job I feel he’s much more suited for (I know Star Trek fanboys are vomiting as I type this) than True Detective. The auteur (formally the greatest auteur of our generation before my meds kicked in) has shared the first photo from the current gig.
ComiXology will begin offering ‘All You Can Eat’ subscription plan, ala Spotify, Netflix
ComiXology is getting into the “pay a flat fee, eat all the sequential art” game. That said — I’m sure this plan is going to come with all sort of caveats. Like, no new releases, only select publishers, yadda, yadda. Still though, an interesting turn for the digi-comics market. Would you sign up for this bad boy?
J.K. Rowling announces play, ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’; opening in 2016
J.K. Rowling can’t seem to quit Harry Potter, and I can’t seem to blame her. It’s a goddamn cash cow. And, you know, it’s beloved by millions who will happily slurp on the teat of New Content from their beloved universe. Which, as a Star Wars sloven, I completely get.
