Gnarly, bro: New ‘Tony Hawk’ game is arriving this year
Shredtastic, man! Wee! Other lazy references to skateboarding, broooo! Seriously though, I’m down for some more Tony Hawking Pro Skatering. It’s been a long enough minute that it’ll feel fresh to me.
‘Mirror’s Edge 2’ dropping early 2016
I never played Mirror’s Edge. Maybe I played the demo? But I know it was an esoteric game with a cult following that didn’t sell extraordinarily well. So I’m stoked on principle that it is getting a sequel, and it has a tentative release date.
Martin Freeman joins ‘Captain America: Civil War,’, I officially worry
Martin Freeman has joined Captain America: Dawn of Justice. I’m fatigued. I tap. The solo movies were supposed to be a respite from the mania of the Avengers movies. And now this flick seems corporate-designed to compete with the upcoming Batman v. Superman. While it may end up being awesome, I’m beginning to worry about a) my own feelings towards superhero movies and b) the future of the MCU.
Louis C.K. writing, directing, starring in ‘I’m a Cop’
Louie is straight-up putting a movie together. And I’m hyped. I’ve sort of fallen behind on Louis C.K. and his wonderfulness. Haven’t watched the last couple seasons of Louie, nor seen his latest special. But that doesn’t mean I can’t get pumped for this news.
Monday Morning Commute: A Secret War On Planet Sunshine
It’s getting nice out, folks. The sunshine is popping here on the Northeastern seaboard of the Empire. Temperatures are in the 80s today. The sky is blue. It’s almost enough to get you through the workday alone. If you’re one of those people who can appreciate leaving to Sol smiling upon your face, and not lament the fact that you’re indoors for eight-hours of its beauty. I am one of those people. So I’m feeling pretty fucking content, today. But that doesn’t mean I ain’t sweating a bunch of stuff this week. So Monday Morning Commute shall, of course, run its course. It just means that I’m going to be moderately less depressed as I toil through the week towards enjoying these arts, farts, and sundries.
Fuck yes: ‘John Wick 2’ officially happening. Original directors returning, too.
John Wick seemed destined to be one of those movies like Dredd where we contemplated and heard murmurings of a sequel for years. To no avail. But it seems unlike Dredd, the Gods are smiling on this particular project.
