Watch: Quentin Tarantino reading ‘Kill Bill’ opening to Robert Rodriguez in 1994

Rendar mentioned this to me tonight. I hadn’t seen it. Now I have. I feel vaguely better for it. But as a point of reference, I also feel vaguely better as a human when I take a dump and I don’t have to wipe, or if I go an entire week without eating multiple peanut butter sandwiches in one setting. Just as reference. You’ll probably enjoy this video too, even if you’re a better human than me (which you are).

‘Mr. Robot’ Season 2 News: Grace Gummer joins the cast

Grace Gummer

I do not know Grace Gummer. But she has joined the cast of Mr. Robot for the show’s second season. Anyone who is good enough for Sam Esmail and company is good enough for me, though.

‘Star Wars Rebels’ Rumor: Grand Admiral Thrawn (!!!) to appear on show

Grand Admiral Thrawn.

The Prequels left me down as futz during my adolescence, but the Grand Admiral Thrawn trilogy definitely helped fill some of that hurt in my heart. When Disney announced they were submarining the entire Expanded Universe, I lamented the (potential) loss of two characters: Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Mara Jade.

It appears that list of mourning is down to one.

‘Episode IX’ News: Trevorrow wants to film in *actual* outer space

Episode IX

I was weary when I heard that Trevorrow was announced to be directing Episode IX, coming off his stint helming the abomination that is Jurassic World. But, I enjoyed his work on Safety Not Guaranteed, and I figured if the LucasCompound chose him there must be something to him. Now? Now the dude is talking about shooting on actual film, and wanting to film in actual outer space. I fuck with both these developments.

Look: Niima Outpost from ‘The Force Awakens’ recreated with LEGO

Nima!

Rey’s time at Niima Outpost is one of my favorite segments of The Force Awakens. There’s so much glorious goddamn activity taking place, with monsters built with practical effects stomping around. Looking odd. Looking real. It’s great. I imagine it’s a hit with other people, especially since one LEGOWizard was inspired enough to recreate it in LEGO.

Bungie President Steps Down; ‘Destiny 2’ reportedly delayed

Destiny

Man. I really liked The Taken King. But then I was told, “Oh yeah, no more thick, glorious content-based DLC for the expansion”, which seemed somewhere between insulting and ludicrous. Not how you manage a fanbase, Bungie. Then! I was told this was because Destiny 2 is dropping this year. It wasn’t a valid excuse to me, but it was a reason. Now! It appears that we ain’t getting Destiny 2 this year *and* Bungie’s president is stepping down.

Miley Cyrus starring in Woody Allen’s TV series for Amazon

Miley Cyrus

Uh. Miley Cyrus. Starring in Woody Allen’s TV series for Amazon (which I didn’t know was a thing)? I mean. Okay? It’s sort of enticing to me in a “what could this possibly look like?” sort of way.
