Doom 2016 or Mad Max: Punch Hell in the Face
In between playing Dark Souls 3 and waiting for Overwatch, Doom came up on steam. I hadn’t paid much attention because a) what 30 year old gamer doesn’t have a giant back log already and b) the last time I played Doom it was a slow wannabe survival horror game where using the flashlight made me want to uninstall the game.
The game comes with the tag “push forward combat” that caught my interest. After reading a bit more I bought it on a whim. After all, Bethesda already owns half my hard drive.
Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ #1 sells more than 250,000 copies
The first issue from Ta-Nehisi Coates and Brian Stelfreeze’s run on Black Panther sold an incredible 250,000 copies. Hot damn! How is this for a debut issue, sales wise? Tremendous. This also explains why I could not find a copy of the issue anywhere.

Monday Morning Commute! On a Monday Evening! Better than a Tuesday Afternoon, not as good as a legitimate Monday Morning! Feelin’ pretty good, man. Classes are finally over, man. Doing a bit of tutoring, but hey. Can’t complain about that. Making money. Still having to drive into Boston during quasi-rush hour, but hey. Can’t complain about that. I’m getting to sleep until 9:00, which is a fucking blessing from the Elder Ones.
‘The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai’ being adapted by Kevin Smith for TV
I first saw The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai last month, and I fucking *loved it* through and through. What a coked out masterpiece of 1980s history. But a TV series? Being adapted by Kevin Smith? I’m cautious, at best.
‘Harley Quinn’ movie coming; Margot Robbie To Produce and Star
Harley Quinn is obviously my favorite part of the Suicide Squad movie. ‘Cause she’s a total bananas babe, and I’m a fourteen year-old boy (not) deep down at all. So bring on a solo movie, bring on a solo movie with the star producing and starring.

If it weren’t for Fargo, then Mr. Robot would be my favorite series of the past few years. I cannot fucking wait for the second season. Can you?! I hope not!
Fox hints at more ‘X-Files’ coming in 2017-18
More X-Files! I didn’t fuck with the mini-series this year, but I know several people who did. It was uneven? I guess? That’s my takeaway. I’m content to let my old school X-periences (HAHAHAHA, I’m the worst!) stand on their own. But for those who dug into the mini-series, I imagine this is good news.
Maybe: Next ‘X-Men’ movie to be set in Space in the 90s
Got to level with you. Not really expecting anything from X-Men: Apocalypse. It seems to be shaping up to be (if the early reviews are accurate) the film-shaped turd that I expected of Days of Future Past. But hey, maybe the franchise can rally with the next installment. In space.
