Oh: Marvel confirms there is an animated MCU project coming

Marvel

Today, some Marvel Guru Dude confirmed the inevitable. There is a animated project in the works that is set in the MCU. I mean, if it is done well, I can certainly dig it. How about you?

Marvel ending 33 comics during ‘Secret Wars’ event

Secret Wars.

Marvel comics. All comics. Are generally like the Universe itself. Death. And Rebirth. A cyclical dance for all of sequential-art eternity. So though apparently Marvel is canceling thirty-three fucking comics during Secret Wars, you’d be daft to think rebirth won’t logically follow. All-Fancy Uncanny Glimmering Thor. X-Forceful Assembling Avengers and so forth.

[Update: Or Nah?] Next ‘Spider-Man’ movie being written and directed by Drew Goddard

yes

This is very, very, very dope news. One of the minds behind Cabin in the Woods (meta! quips! cleverness!) is going to be helming the next Spider-Man movie.

Downey Jr. says big movie announcement coming in eight days, drops Iron Man character poster for ‘AoU’

IRONNNMAN23

Robert Downey Jr hung a double-whammy on the masses today. First the actor dropped an Iron Man character poster for Avengers: Age of Ultron. Neat enough, right? But then the good lad followed up that magnanimity up by announcing…a Marvel announcement. Apparently Marvel Studios is dropping some announcement in eight days, and like. If this isn’t web-shooter related, I’ll be shocked.

Marvel Studios shuffles four movie release dates in wake of Marvel Studios/Sony Spider-Pact

smile!

Now that Marvel Studios sort of/kind of own Spider-Man, they certainly aren’t going to cannibalize their own sales. In order to prevent themselves from doing this though, the studio finds themselves having to push around some release dates.

Confirmed: SPIDER-MAN joining MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE, role being recast

Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Free at last! Free at last! Spider-Man has been (somewhat) released from his Sony Pictures Prison, and joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And with that new beginning brings a new Spider-Man, as the role is being recast. The new Web-Slinger will first debut in a MCU movie before snagging his own. Given the Marvel timeline that has Parker’s own movie dropping in 2017, it seems his debut will be Civil War and not Infinity War. If I had to fucking guess.

‘Age of Ultron’ Non-News: The Vision to appear in other MCU movies

returningz

Gasp! The Vision will be in more movies than just Avengers: Age of Ultron. Hey, whatever. It’s non-news. It’s right there in the fucking title. But for those of us at home, covered in slop, covered in snow, covered in Chez-It crumbs, covered in self-hate, covered in Bucky Barnes homemade pajamas, it’s worth something. Something obvious, but still.

Mega Rumor: Spider-Man joining MCU with ‘Avengers: Infinity War Part 1’

Spider-Man.

Don’t. Don’t even fucking joke around with me on this one. Don’t even fucking play me, Latino Review!

Marvel could get Spidey movie rights back; these are their plans if they should

Spider-Man.

Man. Fuck the Sony Hackers. Not because I’m like, morally opposed to their actions. I don’t have many morals. But rather, the DATA STREAMS this weekend were unrelenting in their coverage. So I stuffed another taco in my mouth and said, “fuck it, I’ll cover the Spidey news on Monday.” And here we are. Here we are.

EDGAR WRIGHT left ‘ANT-MAN’ over forced SHITTY SCRIPT REWRITE

Edgar Wright.

TL:DR EDITION FOLKS: Edgar Wright has left Ant-Man over a fucking dreadful script rewrite. A rewrite that wasn’t brought on by Kevin Feige, but rather high-up Disney No Knowing Dick Lord Czars. Maybe just as concerning? Joss Whedon supports Wright, so lord knows if the Fanboy King will persist in the MCU after finishing Avengers: Age of Ultron.
