FOX may/may not be trading GALACTUS to Marvel to retain ‘DAREDEVIL’ rights. Info right hurr.

This is some straight-up wonky shit right here. God knows the news could change by the time this post hits the Omega Level info-wave. Initially it was thought that Fox would hand Galactus over to Marvel in exchange for an extension on their right to make a Daredevil flick. Now that one has gotten impaled upon the shores of truth, but the situation is still just as juicy.

[Interview] Jordie Bellaire – Color Your World!

At its core, the comic book medium can be thought of as the combining of words and images so as to produce a cohesive narrative. As such, it’s easy to understand why most comics are created not by a single individual, but by a team of creators. But even with this understanding in tow, most comic fans only acknowledge the prowess of their favorite writers, pencillers, and (occasionally) inkers.

Which is a damn shame, `cause colorists are the ones who truly bring the paneled pages to life.

In an attempt to better understand the role and responsibilities of a comics colorist, I reached out to Jordie Bellaire. As the colorist for MANHATTAN PROJECTS, HULK: SEASON ONE, and a slew of other projects, Jordie is making a name for herself as a sought-after and respected comics artist. Hit the hyperspace jump to check out her thoughts on her career thus far, the search for inspiration, and the challenges of being the last artist on a comic book’s creative assembly line.

Put away your Crayolas and come read the thoughts of a genuine talent!

JONATHAN HICKMAN’S ‘FANTASTIC FOUR’ outline is infographic Richards porn.

Whilst coming to an end, Jonathan Hickman’s run on Fantastic Four has been one of my favorite extended takes on a superhero rag ever. Goodness me, there’s a twinkle in my eye just thinking about it. Let’s side-step wanking on the variety of tropes used, philosophical themes discussed, and what I found to be its endearing and powerful final message: it’s about family, stupid, and focus on something else. The run was meticulously plotted with an absurd amount of storylines running concurrently through years of work.

How’d Hickman pull it off? This boner-inducing outline.

Marvel Ending NINE TITLES In October As MARVEL NOW! Kicks Off. Groan. They’ll Be Back.

Marvel is ending nine goddamn titles this October as their Marvel NOW! initiative gets underway. Goddamn ridiculous. Half of these titles have already been ended in the past year or so. How many #1 issues can Captain America or Invincible Incredible Wonderful Iron Man have?

‘CHRONICLE’ Director Developing ‘FANTASTIC FOUR’ Reboot. Not…Directing?

Chronicle  was a jointy-jam of a flicky-flick this year. It had everything you need in a movie: enjoyment, fun, special effects. Since seeing the movie I’ve been advocating for everyone involved with it to make oodles of money doing whatever they wanted. Namely movies and pornography. It seems my voiciferious nature has paid off, since the director is now doing Fantastic Four. In some capacity.

RON SWANSON Wants to be ‘THE THING’ In ‘Fantastic Four’ Reboot. C’mon People.

Nick Offerman plays Ron Swanson on Parks and Rec, arguably one of the greatest characters in modern fiction. However it turns out that Offerman has another deep, deep, desire. To participate in some clobberin’ time.

Marvel Releases Second Teaser For ‘4’. FF #600 Hype Train Much?

Marvel’s released a second teaser for ‘4’. I’m going to go ahead and throw my coins in with the lot that believes this is all part of a building hype train for Fantastic Four #600. If that is the case, it’s going to be curious to see if they’re going to run F4 in tandem with Future Foundation, fold one into the other, or have FF #600 and then continue on with the regular numbering. Thing I’m pretty certain of: this isn’t going to be the return of J. Storm. Not yet.

Hit the jump to check out the full teaser.
