Yo! This is such good news. Christopher McQuarrie has signed on for two more Mission: Impossible movies. In case you ain’t in on it, dude is hugely responsible for helping turn Mission: Impossible into the best action franchise going. He wasn’t sure if he was going to return after Fallout, but he certainly is now. This is a solid, solid fucking win for legitimate action movies and practical effects.

Christopher McQuarrie fucking owns, my dudes. Not only did he direct two of the best action movies in recent memory (that would be the last two Mission: Impossible movies), but he also made Jack Reacher fun. So, the fact that Tom Cruise has brought in the dude for Top Gun 2 rewrites? The movie is in good, good hands.

I enjoyed Edge of Tomorrow, but it was my no means a runaway success. That said, I’m excited that it is getting a sequel, even if I have no idea what the fuck it it will look like.

MissionImpossible: Rogue One Nation Under Espionage was a fantastic summer movie, and a lot of it was in thanks to Christopher McQuarrie. So it makes sense that Paramont is (reportedly) bringing McQuarrie back to write and possibly direct the sixth installment of the franchise.
