This is a Better Call Saul teaser. Starring the show’s creator (along with co-creator Peter Gould, who I am admittedly ignoring the fuck out of here like an asshole). Perhaps this teaser’s existence is a testament to how forcefully Vince Gilligan has penetrated our Pop Culture Psyche. I mean. How many shows feel comfortable enough plugging themselves by just sort of letting the Venerated Creator babble about its premise? In a commercial? I reckon not many. And maybe even more important, it works! I’m sold. Let’s do this, Vincent.

Last week at the halfway point, the son of a bitch was going for almost $2 million. And now at the close, it tacked another shitload of money to its final cost.

Richard Attenborough will forever be That Dude in Jurassic Park to me, but I know that he had a wonderful, storied career. The Good Sir has passed away at the age of 90. Bummer deluxe.

Matt Fraction on ‘Hawkguy’, his career dying, and a dog saving him
It is little secret around here that Matt Fraction ain’t just one of my favorite comic book creators. He’s a source of genuine inspiration and resiliency, and I follow his travels in ways that may be “unhealthy” and “borderline obsessive.” Okay. Whatever. So forgive me if this post really doesn’t fit in anywhere (though to be fair This Site is Me and I Am This Site). But I stumbled across this really fucking outstanding diatribe from Fraction detailing him falling into Hawkguy‘s first issue. It’s tremendous. He admits what I was sort of worrying about at the time (his career dying), once again somehow conjures tragedy into art, and continues to generally move me.
Spielberg developing ‘Minority Report’ TV series. I can dig it!
The further I get away from Minority Report the more I enjoy it. I recall appreciating it for the most part at the time of my initial viewing, but the years have only seen my love for the flick increase. I mean — goddamn is it prescient. I mean — goddamn is it beautiful. So bring on a fucking TV show set in that Universe.

David Yates is going to be helming the Harry Potter spin-off, Fantastic Beasts. Which is great for fans of the series (and I consider myself one, tenuously), because Yates directed the fuck out of the second half of the movie series.
