‘‘The Killing Joke’ animated adaptation approved to be first R-Rated ‘Batman’
The Killing Joke is raw, yo. Some would say needlessly so. But it’s been known for a bit that an animated adaptation was coming, and you weren’t alone if you wondered how the frak such an adaptation could be pulled off. You know, given the content. Well, now we know. While the adaptation isn’t guaranteed to be Rated-R, the Powers That Be have given the approval for a potential R-Rating. Like, should it come to that.
Frank Miller confirms work on new ‘Sin City’ comic
Frank Miller isn’t sitting on his laurels, after Dark Knight III: UberRaceMen or whatever. The writer confirmed at NYCC this past weekend that he has a Sin City in the works.
‘Batman: Arkham Knight’ has already sold 5 million futzing copies
…and this, my friends, is why I reject any ludicrous notion that Warner Bros. is done with Batman video games despite Arkham Knight being the “conclusion” to the Arkham series.
‘Firewatch’ coming to PC and PS4 on Feb. 9, 2016
Oh dip! Looks like one of my more anticipated titles has finally gotten a release date (no, not futzing No Man’s Sky). Campo Santo has announced that Firewatch is dropping early next year.
Spielberg says he’s making ‘Indiana Jones 5’ with Harrison Ford
I guess we ain’t getting an Indiana Jones relaunch after all. Spielberg has let slip that he’s probably going to be making Indiana Jones 5, and he’s bringing his boy Harry Ford along for the ride. Now, uh, just don’t let Lucas have a hand in it. Like, give him an Executive Producer credit or something. Whatever it takes. To keep him away from the script.
‘Daredevil’ Season 2 NYCC Trailer: Guilt Can Be A Good Thing
Praise the Lord, the (Dare)devil is back! This trailer is more than enough to make the already unbearable wait for the second season of Daredevil even more interminable. Can’t wait. For those unwilling to wait through the S1 sizzle reel, the good shit starts around 1:30.
Monday Morning Commute: The air was crap, but the SynthiBeef™ was half-decent
Ah, the early evening on a Monday of a long weekend. The past few days a welcomed respite from the grind of the semester. The next few days an unwelcome reminder of the daily grind. But I should not be too glib — I’m well rested, psychologically mending, and certain that I can grit out the next few days on campus. Though, if I may subvert and contradict myself — some of the “longest” weeks are those coming on the heels of an extended break. The body, it adjusts so quickly to levity, gaiety, enjoyment. 11 o’clock existential start times. Alas! Alack! Enough grousing.
Allow me to embrace this Monday Morning (non-)Commute. Allow me to share what’s going on in my world, what’s on my mind, and the armada of distractions I’m either using, or anticipating, to help me through this week. Then share your own! Let’s do it as a “squad” if you “will” you know?
