‘Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’ delayed until August 23; I may be done with ‘Fallout 4’ by then
I was sort of shocked when UbiFolk announced that the new Deus Ex was dropping early next year. The game had just been revealed, these sort of AAA games take forever to develop, you know, that happy horseshit. Seemed…too soon. And! Apparently it was, since the game has been delayed.
Rumor: ‘Justice League Dark’ looking at Monica Bellucci and Colin Farrell for roles
So, I have no idea about the characters that WB is eyeing Monica Bellucci to play. But holy crap crackers, Colin Farrell as Constantine? I can fuck with that! And, I love both of those people, so I support this development.
Watch: Harrison Ford surprises ‘Star Wars’ fans who donated to charity
Man. It’s starting to hit me. There’s a new Star Wars movie less than a month away, and it’s starring Harrison Ford. Like, Han Solo. The knowledge has been public for a while, and the movie has been anticipated for what feels like forever. But now the factoid is beginning to coalesce from “abstract knowledge” into “Jesus Christ, Harrison Ford is doing Star Wars things like surprising people who donated to a charity because he’s In The New WarStarFlick which is really fucking close.”
Cosplay: Katniss Everdeen from ‘Catching Fire’
Man, I won’t be fucking with the final Hunger Games movie in the theater, but I’m certainly feeling this cosplay. You know, it checks every box on the CaffPow checklist: spandex, bow and arrow, spandex, attractive human, spandex.
Alexandra Daddario starring in ‘Baywatch’ movie with Dwayne Johnson
Good grief. I was already going to see Baywatch because I love that big old slab of gorgeous beef, Dwayne Johnson. But now that Alexandra Daddario (from *that* scene in True Detective‘s first season) is going to be in it? Thrice sold.
Creator of TV series ‘Fargo’ adapting Vonnegut’s ‘Cat’s Cradle’
Fargo is the fucking shit. Vonnegut is my favorite. The fact that the two are colliding in a TV adaptation of Cat’s Cradle is the fucking berries.
Ryan Gosling confirms he is in ‘Blade Runner 2’
We don’t need Blade Runner 2. But really, we seldom need a sequel. So instead I’m going to focus on the positive aspects of Blade Runner 2. Cyberpunk. Denis Villeneuve. Ryan Gosling.
Tuesday Afternoon Commute: Debugging The Omniverse
Man! Been a minute since I opened my door here on the Space-Ship Omega. Specifically because when I’ve had time, I’ve been wandering the Wasteland, post-Vault Door. But how about when I haven’t been? I’ve been grading papers, hanging out with the Wife and friends, grading papers, working. And I don’t know about you folks, but I’ve noticed something.
Doug Liman (‘Edge of Tomorrow’) is directing ‘Gambit’ movie
Doug Liman is the latest character to get involved in the Gambit Movie Saga. A saga that is beginning to give the Ant-Man Movie Saga a run for its money in terms of twists, turns, and talent drop-outs. The director will be helming the Mutie Movie starring Channing Tatum, should everything hold-up in the final negotiations.
