‘Sherlock: The Abominable Bride’ Trailer: Hope You Like Your Victorian Horror (I Do!)
New trailer for the upcoming Sherlock special, The Abominable Bride. I futz with it! I futz with it hard.
‘Fargo’ Season 3 not arriving until Spring 2017, will feature new characters
I wrapped up Fargo‘s second season last night, and boy did I ever love it. It goes down as one of my favorite works of fiction of all time, thanks to its effusive self-confidence, and meditation on all things Absurd. Which, you may or may not know, is pretty much my obsession and overall personal philosophical bent. So man! Man, am I ever excited to see where Noah Hawley and his team goes from here. It looks like I’m going to be waiting a while, though. Hawley has said that the show isn’t going to be returning until a year from next Spring. But I’m okay with this. Something as wonderful and as dense as Fargo shouldn’t be rushed out to accommodate public demand, or a network. I’m heartened by the idea that the team is going to take their time, and ideally churn out another wonderful season.

‘xXx 3’ is actually happening; Samuel L. Jackson is returning, too.
The xXX franchise is really returning. Vin Diesel is really returning, too. Samuel L. Jackson is also really returning, too-too.

Maybe: ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ getting Black & White release in 2016
You may recall that George Miller made a black and white cut of Fury Road. He did. He wanted it on the home release. He didn’t get what he wanted. But now! Now that wild (purportedly intended) version of his may see life — in the futzing theaters.
Monday Morning Commute: For my ally is The Force
It’s time, folks. The Force is almost upon us. And after waiting for years for this Grand Revival to arrive, a surreal feeling of serenity has struck me. This desired event is so soon that it borders on incomprehensible. It has devolved out of an Upcoming Event and into some Abstract Potentiality that I cannot come to grips with. In a little over three days, on Thursday at 7pm, I’m going to be experiencing a new Star Wars.
This is Monday Morning Commute. Where I share what I’m looking forward to during a given week, and then you return in kind with your own happenings. This week is obvious: The Force Awakens and Everything Else. But fuck, I’ll list all of my anticipations for you.
Jeff Lemire’s ‘Essex County’ being adapted for TV
I love Jeff Lemire, and I love his continued success. Which reminds me, even though I recently read Essex County, I should probably polish off my back issues of Descender (also being adapted).
