‘The Flash’ movie is going to adapt that wild ass ‘Flashpoint’ storyline which rebooted the DC Comics universe
I thought the wild ass DC mega event Flashpoint was pretty whatever, because I’m lukewarm at best on Geoff Johns But, the news that that the Flash movie is going to adapt said storyline? Equal parts bonkers, and impressive. So many questions. Like, are they already rebooting their cinematic universe? Phasing out Bat-Fleck? Or will it be a casual adaptation? Is it going to be GrimDark? I’m intrigued.

Regardless of what you think of it, Iron Fist is the rolling joke of the Netflix-Marvel merry marriage. In an attempt, I think, oh do I think, to fix the series, the showrunner of the first season has been replaced. Awesome! But. Wait. Replaced with the writer of 2005’s Elektra movie. Sweet Jesus Christ, this is amazing.
‘Ready Player One’ Trailer: The Saccharine Novel Seems Surprisingly Dystopic In Its Adaptation
First trailer for Ready Player One is here! And! It’s…okay? Maybe it was my own reading of RPO, or maybe it’s just an early trailer, but the first look at the movie casts Cline’s source material in a far more dystopic, gritty light than I pictured when reading the novel. I definitely pictured a more bubbly, 1980s, Hughes-esque vibe. You know, a coming-of-age-with-positivity-despite-staggering-adversity type world.

Man. Really, DC? Shazam is next? Speaks to the behind the scenes fucking chaos at Warner Brothers, right? I mean. Shazam. Not The Batman. Not The Flash. Goddamn Shazam. But, hey. Here’s hoping it’s good, and here’s hoping the aforementioned delayed projects end up kicking ass, thanks to the extra time they’ve been afforded.

I’m fucking euphoric about any of Noah Hawley’s upcoming projects, flat out fucking euphoric. But there’s something particularly intriguing about the creator tackling Doctor Doom, and thereby reinvigorating the feces-flecked Fantastic Four movie property.
