Weekend Open Bar: Here and There

weekend open bar here and there

It’s the Weekend! Open! Bar!

Still though!

I, I don’t got nothing to say. Been up since around 9 am, peak caffeine hit around six hours ago, and now I’m sort of downshifting my horrid, horrid, chemically-abysmal blood in preparation for a more relaxed evening. So, the invocations bring nothing to the finger tips. Especially since, if I’m being honest, I really want to be supine with a couple of funny books in my grubby paws.

Netflix renews ‘GLOW’ for a second season. Good, ’cause this show is a goddamn gem

netflix glow season two

GLOW is my favorite installment of pop culture this summer, so I’m stoked-torqued-jacked that the show will be getting a second season. I had sort of assumed it was going to be renewed. However my scrotum tightened with fear with each week that passed with no announcement. Relax, scrotum! Flop free, flop in celebration!

Bethesda bringing back ‘Fallout 4’ Pip-Boy edition, prepare to spend too much to look like a herb

bethesda fallout 4 pip-boy game of the year edition

Listen, I’ll be honest. I was fucking bummed that the original Fallout 4 Pip-Boy collector editions so old so fast. That said, make no mistake. Spending that much money for a life size Pip-Boy makes you both extravagant and a total fucking herb. It’s just that, you know, I’m both of those.

‘Blade Runner 2049’ gets R rating, which was expected, but glad to see they replican’t hold back

blade runner 2049 rated r

Views From The Space-Ship: Go Ahead And Kiss It

desktop thursdays go ahead and kiss it

Two weeks in a row! Desktop Thursdays! Go ahead, friends. Kiss it. It won’t bite back. May give you a little smooch in an honest attempt at reciprocity, though. What is “It”, you ask? Good question. The Universe? My stunning, cut, lean, mesmerizing bicep? A dumpster behind 7-Eleven? The choice is yours.

But!

Uh!

After you get done with your obligatory, state-mandated (the state of OmegaLevelia, obviously) smooch, hit the jump! Check out some peeks into my worlds(s) from the past week.

Then, after the smooch, after the checking-out-of-my-world(s hyphen-hyphen), display your own existence in the comments section.

‘Neuromancer’ movie happening again with ‘Deadpool’ director Tim Miller attached

neuromancer tim miller directing deadpool

Neuromancer is happening, again, folks. As you may or may not know, I’ve sworn off being worried about adaptations, and telling myself if they’re good, awesome. Bonus. If they suck, no harm no foul. So I’ll say this about the Neuromancer adaptation. The biggest hurdle it faces is not looking derivative, because it’s so goddamn influential that so many properties that have ripped it off (or paid homage if you’re on the positive tip) have dropped first. That said, I like Tim Miller. A lot.

‘It’ director Andy Muschietti hungry to direct a ‘Pet Sematary’ adaptation, so here’s hoping ‘It’ is dope

andy muschietti pet sematary movie

Here’s hoping It is a good movie. I ain’t seen the original, or read it, but the trailer for the forthcoming movie looks dope to me. Why is it worth hoping? ‘Cause director Andy Muschietti wants to lay hands on another King property, Pet Sematary.
