COEN BROTHERS rewriting SPIELBERG’S Cold War Project. Confluence of awesome.

Coen Brothers.

It’s a power couple! Made up of three people! A Domination Triangle? Eh, whatever. The Coen Brothers are rewriting a script for Stevey Spielberg based on a true-life Cold War drama. I am fucking sold already, folks. Sold. Already.

Perhaps: Neill Blomkamp directing ‘HALO’ pilot for Microsoft

Halo 4

Who the fuck else would it be Caff, if not Microsoft? I know, I know. Hashtag redundancy. Anyways, before Neill Blomkamp was known for District 9 the good sir directed a series of stunning Halo short films. Bro was even involved in a movie adaptation. But things went and got stalled, which prompted Blomkamp to throw up the deuces. Dare we say the sir is returning to the franchise?

Spielberg developing STANLEY KUBRICK’S NAPOLEON as a TV miniseries. Uh. Okay.

Steven Spielberg.

Apparently Stanley Kubrick’s dream project was one centered around Napoleon. Displaying my ignorance, I will cop to having had no goddamn idea about this. Well, Uncle Steve knew about this project. And armed with this knowledge, the Gracious Alien (c’mon, we all know he is an alien) has taken about developing the project.

The Dude’s High 5s: Ways I learned about WWII

What if I told you we’re going to be attacked in two days? Would you believe me? I can’t tell the future, but I can tell the past. Wait, is it read the past or tell the past? Anyway, if you knew that an attack was imminent on this date in 1941, you’d be a hero … or more probably be arrested, imprisoned, and questioned as a spy. World War II is one of the pivotal moments in Earth’s history. It was a global event that nearly every country that exists today was effected by it. In high school, I couldn’t have been more disinterested in learning about this event. I think it was because I had history teachers that were bad at teaching history. However, I rebounded. I managed to piece together a working knowledge of how this event went down. Here’s how.

Spielberg and Vaughan-helmed adaptation of ‘UNDER THE DOME’ picked up by CBS.

I’ve never read Whacky Stevey’s novel Under the Dome. Even still, I’m excited that CBS has made it rain all over an initial thirteen episode adaptation of the book. They don’t give no shits! And I wouldn’t either. The entire ordeal is being helmed by Steven Spielberg and Brian K. Vaughan, so one has to imagine them being capable of pulling this off. Or if they cannot imagine that, let them imagine the Brian and Steve lathered in aloe vera gel, twisting each other’s nipples while wearing unicorn horns upon their own domes.

‘TOY STORY 3’ writer penned the new ‘STAR WARS trilogy’s treatment. Brad Bird, Spielberg, others to take a look.

I know that someday in the next three years I’ll be pulling pubes out and cursing Episode VII. I know that, aiight? Just let me enjoy the glow of new Star Wars news that doesn’t make me want to vomit blood. Up in here today we have the little tidbit that the writer behind Toy Story 3 and Little Miss Sunshine is responsible for the new trilogy’s treatment. And not only that, but the treatment will cross some impressive desks.

Daniel Day-Lewis continues to crush it as Honest Abe in poster for Spielberg’s ‘LINCOLN’

Shiiit, Daniel Day-Lewis is continuing to look phenomenal in his depiction of Abraham Lincoln. If nothing else, I imagine this movie will be a must-see for his performance alone.

FIRST OFFICIAL IMAGE of Daniel Day-Lewis as Honest Abe in Spielberg’s ‘LINCOLN’

Daniel Day-Lewis got himself some method acting going on right here with his depiction of Honest Abe. Now, granted this rendition won’t be the coolest ever. Keep in mind he is not exploding cherry trees with thunderous axe cuts and fighting vampires. This may be a close second though, and I suppose that is all we can hope for. Wink.
