It was announced by some 2K Czar a couple of years ago that BioShock would be a persistent franchise. Yet since then, we ain’t heard much. Well, the rumblings are coming, folks. And they aren’t just the diarrhea rumblings in my bubble guts after the latest weekend of gluttony. They’re another kind of bio-rumbling.
The more I see of Prey, the more I want it. Oh sure, it seems like a shameless amalgamation of Dead Space (and other science-fiction Gothic haunted houses) and BioShock. But that, friends, is exactly why I want it. Plus, the “mimic matter” gameplay mechanic seems dope as fuck.
When the fuck is 2KGames just going to confirm the BioShock HD collection? There have been so many goddamn leaks, with the latest being courtesy of the ESRB.
BioShock is getting a collection, according to the Brazilian advisory board. 1) Can I just bought the original game in HD? No, that isn’t a “collection” — oh, okay. 2) When the fuck are we getting an HD Mass Effect collection? Christ.
After BioShock Infinite, Ken Levine announced that he was taking his talents (and his studio) in a different direction. And while it’s probably too early to judge, I’m going to anyways! Levine’s company is hiring for a “narrative first-person shooter”, which. You know. Sounds a lot like BioShock. IDFK?
Maybe. This is a definite *maybe* not a certain *true*, but it looks like BioShock may be getting a next-gen collection. Which I will buy. For BioShock only. That’s enough for me to enjoy. The other two can pound-sand-and-eat-grass.
Ken Levine (creator of BioShock, uncomfortably smug human) and his squad at Irrational Games continue to hire for their scaled-down mystery project. Here is hoping it’s more BioShock and less BioShock: Infinity War.
Ken Levine. I don’t know how I feel about him, other than intrigued. The dude got way too much credit for the collaborative journey that was BioShock, but fuck I love that game. Then Levine and his crew churned out BioShock Infinite, which was more THIS IS A DEEP GAME than actually being a deep game. But he’s clearly something of an “auteur” if they exist (anywhere), and so I’m sweating his (group’s) next effort.
