Retailer lists ‘MASS EFFECT TRILOGY’ for PS4 and Xbox One. PRAISE THE REAPERS
Praise the fucking Reapers! There was no trilogy I enjoyed more in the past generation (misgiving about the ending aside) than Mass Effect. So I’m totally onboard being a consumerist whore and purchasing the whole trilogy a second time in glorious HD. Hopefully without elevator loading times. And the ME3 engine powering the whole thing.

Comixology getting rid of IN-APP PURCHASES on iOS. Lack of Ease++
Comixology is giving Apple the big middle finger, and shifting away from an iOS application that offered purchases within the app. Means sense from a financial standpoint, since Apple apparently takes a 30% cut of all transactions through their walled-in garden. However, goddamn if it isn’t going to make my drunken binge purchases a bit more cumbersome.

Marvel dropping ‘LEGENDARY STAR-LORD’ series in July
Several things happen every time I see the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer. First, I apologize for hitting the person in front of me in the theater with my geek priapism. Second, I coo slowly at Chris Pratt, attempting to draw him out of the screen. Ala Last Action Hero. Third, I lament that I don’t read enough of the comics surrounding this Universe.
So Imma definitely snag this new on-going in an attempt to rectify at least one of those happenings.

‘BOYHOOD’ Trailer: Linklater goes Truffaut
Fucking awesome effort, this is right here. Back in the day Truffaut used actor Jean-Pierre Léaud to play one role across a series of movies starting with 400 Blows that had the character age before the camera’s eyes. Linklater has gone a bit deeper, actually filming a fucking movie across a decade+ with the same actor. I’m very really excited to see this shit.
Lucasfilm addresses ‘STAR WARS’ EXPANDED UNIVERSE. Dismisses It. And Keeps It?
Lucasfilm has finally come out and smashed the hopes, dreams, and dork-souls of many an SW:EU fan. Or maybe not? Frankly, it seems like they’re sort of doing two things. 1) Stating the obvious. Which is to say VII-IX is obviously not going to fucking follow the EU. 2) Announcing that the EU content will be slowly appropriated into the new Standardized Canon as they see fit, or perhaps more specifically as it can be made to fit.

Oh golly! Wolverine is dying in September! Hopefully…metaphorically? Wolverine storylines we need to put in the “Time Out” bin for a decade or so: Wolverine loses his healing factor, Wolverine loses his adamantium, Wolverine befriends underage girl and shows her how to live, Wolverine dies. I mean, didn’t Jason Aaron absolutely fucking dominate a Wolverine Must Die storyline like two years ago? Or so?

How the fuck has this news been out in the Nether-Webs for two days without me noticing it? I’d be more outraged, but frankly all the chemicals in my system are murmuring “shh, shh, slumber now” in my psychological ear. So instead I’m just going to be FUCKING STOKED at the news that Ellis’ next novel has been revealed. Then go to bed. Immediately. Maybe dream of the bearded one, hovering over me. Maybe rubbing my ears, helping me along the road to Morpheus’ haunts.
