‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ teases return of Colin Firth’s (seemingly dead) character
My wife loved Kingsman. I thought it was okay. But like pretty much everyone else, I enjoyed Colin Firth’s performance in the film. The fact that he was straight mirked in the film made me think he was done. But where there is fan appeal, there is a way!
Netflix picks up Adam Wingard’s (‘The Guest’) ‘Death Note live action-adaptation, after its dropped by Warner Bros.
I know that Death Note is an anime. That’s all I really know about it. Now I know it’s getting a live-action adaptation. Normally this wouldn’t get me too excited, however the project is being helmed by Adam Wingard. Dude directed both You’re Next and The Guest, both of which have fucking titillated me. So good going, Netflix. Snagging a project from a pretty talented indie director. I’m in! All in.
‘Fast 8’ adds Kristofer Hivju (‘Game of Thrones’) as villain
Man. Cut and paste city with this dude’s name, Kristofer Hivju. I’m a lazy, ignorant American. Learn spelling? Nah! Swipe, click, click. But Kristofer Hivju (c+p #2) has joined Fast 8 in the role of a villain. Fine with me! I liked him enough when I was watching Thrones.

‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ Trailer: This is a rebellion…I rebel
Here’s the first trailer for the first Star Wars “spin-off” movie, Rogue One. It’s neat! Truthfully, I’m nowhere near as hype as I was for the Ep. 7 premiere, nor as hype as I will be for the debut of the Ep. 8 trailer. But it’s fucking Star Wars, and that’s enough to get me to a particular level of anticipation. The rest of the hype? Handled in this trailer by gorgeous goddamn shots, wonderfully chaotic combat, and that classic aesthetic. I’m pumped.
‘Final Fantasy VII’ Remake will be *Three* Full Sized Games
Well. I mean, there goes our trepidation about the FFVII being a piecemeal episodic adventure. Inserted, is our fear that Square will be mining the famous title for every last piece of material, in a Hobbit-esque nightmare extrapolation. Or, we could just be excited.

Warner Bros. has set the dates for two as-of-yet-hyphen-unannounced-hyphen-DC films. If one of these fucking films isn’t a Solo BatFleck movie…well, I suppose I shouldn’t be shocked. Since, you know, comma, DC, comma, hasn’t done anything that has made sense to me yet.
