‘Dark Souls III’ dropping in Japan on March 24, 2016

Dark Souls III

I ain’t fucked with the Dark Souls franchise. I already got anger management issues, and I imagine this game series would test them. That said, more than one person has told me the series is right up my alley. Maybe I’ll jump onboard with the third installment. And said jumping would occur, if the Japanese release date means anything, early next year.

‘Pikmin 4’ is in development, and “very close to completion” according to Miyamoto

Miyamoto says LOL.

So Shigeru Miyamoto just dropped in an interview that Pikmin 4 is almost close to completion. Which was a surprise to Pretty Much Everyone, since no one even knew it was in development. Hey. Neat. Cool. But like, could we get that fucking Zelda that we were promised? Oh, no? It’s being totally pushed back slowly onto the next Nintendo system? Great.

New York Times: New Apple TV to focus on gaming

I’ve been thinking about an Apple TV lately. Not for any good reason. Because I’m a technology glutton, and playing with new gadgets is fun for me. But even though I’m both a) a gamer and b) thinking about an Apple TV, I have to confess that the fact that Apple is focusing on gaming with its newest iteration doesn’t make it any sexier to me. How about you?

‘Destiny: The Taken King’ Cinematic Trailer: I Will Take Them All!

Watch: Shigeru Miyamoto explains design behind ‘Super Mario Bros.’ World 1-1. Also known as the most iconic level. Ever.

‘Fallout 4’ script is bigger than ‘Fallout 3’ and ‘Skyrim’ scripts combined

Fallout 4.

Goddamn! This is exactly the sort of news I cannot handle. I cannot handle this news because it makes me sweat Fallout 4 so hard. I cannot handle this news because it surely cements the Death of my (Non-Existent) Social Life come this November.

Blizzard’s Former COO donated his entire futzing personal collection to museum

Personal Collection of Paul Sams.

Paul Sams is a good guy. Solid dude. High on the dope quotient. The former COO has donated his entire goddamn personal collection of Blizzard games+artifacts to the Strong National Museum of Play. It seems like a bold move for many collectors, but it smacks of sensibility to me. How does one ensure such glorious collection persists in a maintained state? Especially as one ages? While donating it to a museum relinquishes ownership, it also guarantees that it will be an accessible monument for years to come. Cheers!

Watch: Trailer For Final ‘Dragon Age: Inquisition’ Story DLC, “Trespasser”

What happens when you save the world? That’s what DA:I‘s final story DLC will tackle. The content takes place two years after the saving of Thedas or whatever (I loved the game, forgot the story), and features, of course, a new threat. Has anyone here fucked with any of the DA:I DLC? The game itself was such an enormous, engrossing experience that frankly I need a couple of years off from the universe. But maybe you didn’t! Let me know.

‘Fallout Monopoly’ is a real, official thing. Dropping in November.

Fallout 4 Monopoly

Fallout 4 ain’t the only wonderful, Fallout-based product dropping in November. No, no. Bethesda has also announced that there will be a Fallout-themed edition of Monopoly hitting the shelves.

‘Halo 5: Guardians’ Opening Cinematic: Nathan Fillion’s Spartan Race

Truthfully, I ain’t watching this. I know it’s somewhat contradictory, since I seem to indulge in every spoiler ever. But, I don’t know. Why watch an out-of-context opening cinematic for a game I’m sweating? I can wait the less-than-two-months. How about you? Are you going to peep this cinematic? Are you going to play Halo 5?
