So it looks like Showtime is going to be Microsoft’s partner when it comes to a Halo TV series. It’s done! Guaranteed!…okay! Maybe! Possibly! Probably! This is the Internet, we oversell everything.

Lost in the fucking kerfuffle yesterday surrounding Microsoft’s original Xbox TV content was some significant fucking news. I’ll take responsibility for this. My eyes begin to glaze amidst the hyperbolic blathering of Corporate Talking-Ghouls. But fuck, man! If this ain’t a reason for me to take the Xbox offering seriously, nothing will be. (That’s actually my own hyperbole, but I’m really excited.)

About fucking time, Netflix! You’ve signed a traffic deal with both Comcast, and now Verizon on the tattered ashes of Net Neutrality. I could be more bitter about this, but whatever. I’m a consumer-donkey at heart, and really all I care about is being able to watch the new seasons of Trailer Park Boys with no fucking stuttering.
HBO shows going to AMAZON PRIME. ‘Cept like no ‘THRONES’, man.
Great news, Amazon Prime customers! (Hi!). Well, except for those Amazon Prime customers who have HBO (Hi!). The Prime Service has signed a deal with the Home Box Office to bring a litany of shows to their streaming service. The only caveat? Some select fucking shows aren’t offered. Like you know. Thrones. And True Detective. #SMH as they say.
J.K. Rowling’s first “adult novel” is getting HBO MINISERIES.
J.K. Rowling news up in the heezy! The house! The hacienda! The author’s first “adult novel” (scare quotes to call attention to the somewhat nebulous term) is getting a miniseries courtesy of HBO. Not having read the book, I am still at least intrigued given the author and network.
