‘Mr. Robot’ has added Craig Robinson as a recurring Guest Star
Mr. Robot continues to fill out the cast for its second season with interesting choices. Craig Robinson? Odd! But I’m completely in for whatever the minds behind the show have devised.
‘Mr. Robot’ casts Joey Bada$$ as a friend of Elliot’s for Season 2
Uhhh. Remember a couple of posts ago when I said that sometimes people in the arts just straight-up earn your trust? They make seemingly insane decisions make sense. Or if not make sense, at least you’re willing to buy-in? This is another case. I mean, Joey Bada$$? In Mr. Robot? Uh, okay. I trust you, Sam Esmail.
‘Daredevil’ Season 2 Promo Pic: Murdock Is Lent An Unsolicited Hand
Get it? Cause motherfucker is fighting The Hand! But he didn’t ask to fight The Hand! So they’re unsolicited! Rock and roll! Puns for days! Punch your Mom and kiss your high school crush! Let’s go bonkers celebrating the approach of the Man Without Eyesight’s second season.
Report: Marvel’s ‘Iron Fist’ is auditioning actors to play Shang-Chi
Iron Fist! Luke Cage! Shang-Chi! Iron Fist. The bold term means I’m signalling the show, the bolded term after the names means I’m indicating apparently all these characters will be on the show! Names! Bolded terms.
‘American Gods’ TV adaptation casts Ian McShane as Mr. Wednesday
I really enjoyed American Gods. But for the life of me, I cannot recall the character of Mr. Wednesday. Probably because I’ve only read the novel once, and that was a decade ago. Eons have passed. Brain cells have withered, popping out one by one by one under constant attack from caffeine and ennui. That said, I’m sure this is good news. How? I just am.
Finn Jones’ ‘Iron Fist’ debuting on Netflix’s ‘Luke Cage’ before his own show
Makes sense, right? Jessica Jones debuted Luke Cage. Luke Cage will now debut Iron Fist.
Ryan Coogler (‘Creed’, ‘Fruitvale Station’) directing and producing TV show, ‘Minors’
I’m down for anything Ryan Coogler is attached to these days. And Coogler seems to have a good amount on his plate. The director ain’t just doing Marvel’s Black Panther, nuh-uh. He’s also joining Destin Daniel Cretto in directing the TV series Minors.
Stephen King’s ‘The Mist’ is heading to Spike TV
Oh yeah! Spike TV is a thing! It used to be the channel that I would watch UFC’s Ultimate Fighter on, back when I wanted to watch dudes punch one another (I still do) and listen to them bark empty platitudes about going to war and their family needing their victory (I do not) for an hour. Well, I imagine a lot of people feel like me — completely apathetic when it comes to the station. And perhaps, just perhaps, this is an effort of theirs to change that feeling.
