Weekend Open Bar: We Can Do Better
It’s the freakin’ weekend, baby! And piggybacking off last week’s belief that sometimes the longest weeks are the shortest ones, these past five days of work-grind have flown by far quicker than last week’s Genocide-Sponsored Shortened Sequence. Where did the time go? Where does the time go? Who gives a flying futz, so long as the weekend gets here with alacrity!

When Edgar Wright left Ant-Man, I spent a good amount of time bemoaning his departure, and what it meant for the film. Additionally, I railed muchly against Marvel Studios’ replacement, Peyton Reed. Well! I ended up quite enjoying the movie. So I welcome Reed returning for the sequel. You?
Jason Aaron and Marvel announce new exclusive deal
The exodus of talent from Marvel has been the realness as of late. That isn’t do say they don’t have talented writers, but rather that most of their “architects” (remember that shit?) have left for purely creator-owned ventures. And so while Jason Aaron will still be rocking Southern Bastards and other creator-owned titles, he’ll also be working exclusively for Marvel (as opposed to like, DC, too?).
Hideo Kojima has officially left Konami; his non-compete ends in December
What has long been anything but confirmed has now been confirmed. Hideo Kojima has officially left (or is it “left”?) Konami. But don’t look for him to sit around on his ass long, as his non-compete expires in December. Any thoughts as to where he goes? What he does next?
