‘Doctor Strange’ casts Michael Stuhlbarg as Nicodemus West
Michael Stuhlbarg is a dope actor. I don’t have any fucking familiarity with Nicodemus West, though. So like, yeah. I can read his wiki entry, but I don’t know if this is “inspired” or “accurate” casting or the such.
Rumor: Marvel’s ‘Iron Fist’ is going to be a Netflix movie
Hmm. Hmm. I really like Iron Fist, and this smacks of the character is getting the shaft here, in light of a Punisher push. But hey! Even if they’re pushing him out of the Defenders and giving him a movie instead of a series (fucking bullshit), maybe the aforementioned flick will be decent. What about you? Think this is legit? Would you prefer a series? Or a movie?
AMC’s ‘Preacher’ Trailer: Careful For What You Wish, Son
Going to level with you. I ain’t feeling this trailer for Preacher. It isn’t particularly bad in any way, it just isn’t particularly riveting. We got Dominic Cooper looking a bit too suave, not enough grit. But whatever. I ain’t going to write off the show just yet. What did you think?
Neil Gaiman is getting his own TV series, adapting his short stories
Neil Gaiman! Getting a television show dedicated to adapting four of his short stories. Pretty cool! I don’t fuck with Gaiman as much as some people, but I have a healthy respect for the man, and a hearty love for American Gods.
Rumor: ‘Batman’ solo movie to feature The Red Hood, Joker, based off “A Death In The Family”
The Batman solo flick is the one movie I’m really, really, really sweating in the DCU. Primarily because I think Ben Affleck is a talented director (if he ends up directing the movie, which he keeps wavering on, but I have faith), and the movie, won’t, you know, involve Zack Snyder. Details are beginning to emerge (or purportedly emerge, I guess) about the movie, and whelp. It seems interesting.
