‘Master of None’ Season 2 coming in 2017
Aziz Ansari’s hit Netflix show is getting itself a second season. This seems like good news for all, and it at gives me a deadline for when I need to catch-up on the series by. Vaguely.
‘Black Mirror’ News: Joe Wright directing an episode starring Bryce Dallas Howard & Alice Eve
Black Mirror: so fucking good. Black Mirror: getting new episodes, courtesy of Netflix. Black Mirror: Joe Wright is directing an episode starring two major actresses. Black Mirror: so fucking good.
Ubisoft: No ‘Assassin’s Creed’ this year, ‘Watch Dogs 2’ coming before April 2017
For the first time in a hot fucking minute, we’re not getting an Assassin’s Creed this year. Ubisoft has laid out its plans for fiscal year 2016-17, and there were no assassins to be found. There was, however, a sighting of a Watch Dog (2).
‘XCOM: Enemy Unknown’ and ‘XCOM 2’ getting Vinyl Soundtracks
Man. A niche of a niche of a niche. If vinyls are for a select few, then gaming vinyls are for an even more cloistered segmentation of the population. Which I’m all for, frankly. Fetishize your fetishes. Lord knows I do.
‘Batman v Superman’ Final Trailer: Bruce Wayne Is Good At Fighting
Okay, I’m not going to fucking front. I smiled throughout this entire trailer. Like, I *know* that this movie is probably going to be ass. I know! But finally, a fucking *fun* trailer for the movie. Highlighting the usual Snyder imagery that tricks me into thinking I’ll enjoy his characters. I’m a sucker for flash, and fighting, and Bat-Guy and Super-Dude. If the movie could tow the line and actually just embrace its absurdity, we may be in for a good ride. The problem is that this is the first trailer that doesn’t make the entire movie feel like a slog of brooding broodiness. Who knows. I’m, at least, more excited than I’ve ever been for this movie. (Which is saying absolutely nothing, true.)
‘Quantum Break’ Live-Action Trailer: Time Is Power
Man. I really want to play Remedy’s new game, Quantum Break. Man. I really don’t want to watch Remedy’s new game, Quatum Break (In The Gameplay, Geddit?). You?
Danny McBride in talks to join ‘Alien: Covenant’
The truth is that I’m going to see Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant regardless of what is said about it prior to (or at its) release. It’s Ridley Scott, its an Alien movie. But if I was straight-up *pretending* that I wasn’t interested initially because Prometheus was raw-ass served up with a side order of marbled diarrhea chunks, I would say the addition of Kenny fucking Powers intrigues me enough to consider it.
