Only after the bonkers, completely unhinged pop culture psyche development over the past ten or so years has it become possible to type “Ego the Living Planet” in conjunction with the sequel to a movie that has made hundreds of millions of dollars. But yup, that’s where we’re at. Apparently the sequel to GotG will feature this baddie. Whom I know almost nothing about.

Star-Lord’s father is going to be featured in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and the identity of this paternal figure has been up for date. A new rumor purports to have cracked this case for us, friends. And for what its worth, the identity named, and its logical placement in the grander MCU makes sense to me. How about you? Matthew McConaughey turned down ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ villain role

Well, shit. Matthew McConaughey turned down the “villain” role for Guardians for the Galaxy 2. Which, whatever that means, has me thinking he turned down the role of Star-Lord’s dad. I get it. He’s got shitty Lincoln car commercials to star in while “maintaining” his “integrity” or whatever #baselessbitterness.
