Hard to really knock the absurdity of a 21 Jump Street x Men In Black crossover, given that the movie franchise has been predicated on self-awareness and absurdity. So I’m down for the attempt, let’s see if they can pull it off.

Most of the articles covering this story are going with “LEGO Movie directors” in their headline. But I ain’t! I’m talking about the fucking Jump Street directors. Which, uh, are the same people. Between Lego Movie, and the Jump Street flicks, Phil Lord and Chris Miller can get it. From me! Right up against my pop-culture geek prostate. So this news is fucking radical. The two Dudes are working on a pilot for CBS (which I know ugh they’re the wasteland of non-comedy) with a mind from The Office.

’22 JUMP STREET’ Red Band Trailer: Every reboot needs a sequel

All flying and shit.

The only thing more egregious than a reboot-remake-rething movie? One of those movies that is so successful that it generates a sequel. I loved the original 21 Jump Street with Tatum and Hill. I’m hoping the sequel will be self-aware enough to govern the film over the standard sequel-based hazards.
