Star Trek turns 50 today, man. I’ve always neglected watching the series, due to distraction, lack of discipline, and the fact that I’m a Garbage Person. But its ideology, and what it put forth, is something I feel to be both genuinely important, and incredibly necessary in these Days of Gloom.

Joe Manganiello, the beefy werewolf from True Blood and Magic Mike (though, I don’t think he was a werewolf there) is joining Ben Affleck’s Batman movie. I’m agnostic about this casting.
‘Mass Effect: Andromeda’ Heroes are Brother and Sister; co-exist in game
Mass Effect: Andromeda is going to feature a brother-sister pair of heroes in the game. Not only that, but the ominous “N7 guy” who featured in an ME:A trailer way, way back? That is their father. No word on whether or not you can switch between the two characters ala GTA V, but what is known is that no matter who you choose, the other is “out there in the Universe” while you’re playing. Which can really mean a lot, or a little. I’m curious to see.

Thoughts. 1) Fuck this looks so good. 2) Does BioWare even have any fucking gameplay for this game? A goddamn glorified tech demo? Sony reveals ‘PlayStation 4 Pro’ capable of 4K and HDR gaming; Microsoft responds that Scorpio’s power advantage will be “obvious”
Sony has revealed their PlayStation 4 Pro, after months of speculation. It’s a beefier, more powerful PS4. I’ve already pre-ordered mine. At the same time, Microsoft has already lobbed bombs at Sony’s next iteration, saying that the power advantage of the new XB1 iteration will be “obvious” — I will preorder that, as well.
