‘Gears of War’ remaster dropping this year on XB1
Gears of War is getting a remaster on XB1. And it doesn’t matter if you’re cool with it or not. Or if you’re like me, and you’re not cool with it for some vague undefined reason but you’re going to buy it anyways. The remasters are coming. All of them. All the franchises. Especially when real sequels for the franchises they’re a part of, are far away.

Pretty Gnarl: XB1 retail consoles will become dev kits this year
Are you like me? Well, that depends. Do you want to create an indie game where the protagonist must consume pixelated cans of Diet Dew in order to shit laser beams at bouncing pixelated Mark Millar fans? Well, if you are!, now you can create this game for the both of us. On XB1. With your store-bought console.

And here we were thinking that God-Tier PC and mobile gaming were going to evaporate us luddite console cowboys. They may (probably) will yet, but not if this generation has anything to say about it.
Microsoft all like, “Wanna buy Xbox Entertainment Studios”?
Last month, Microsoft killed Xbox Entertainment Studios. This month, it seems like they’re trying to pawn the dead-not-dead original programming company off onto an sucker interested party. So far, that sucker interested party seems to be Warner Bros.
Well Then: The next ‘Tomb Raider’ is an Xbox Exclusive~
Rise of the Tomb Raider is only going to be rolling up on Xbox consoles, and man I can only imagine the staggering amount of cash Microsoft threw around to procure this exclusive. And I wonder if this is a timed exclusive, or an outright? None the less. This is one of those times that I’m glad I’m a materialistic, completionist, Day 1 whore.
Microsoft all like OR NAH about TV content. Closing XBOX Entertainment Studios
Microsoft’s foray into original entertainment didn’t really progress beyond the zygotic stage. (I don’t know if that’s accurate, I just wanted to say “zygotic stage.”) The company has announced they’re putting the fucking kibosh on Xbox Entertainment Studios. This announcement is part of Microsoft’s slimming down at the hands of the company’s new Czar.

Sony Cackles: A third of PS4 owners were X360 or Wii owners last gen
Sony ain’t shying away from bragging about their so-far dominance of this current generation. Dropping a hurricanrana factoid like this. Apparently 1/3 of the PS4 install base was an Xbox or NintendoWiWi owner in their previous console-generation-iteration, and didn’t own a PS4.
No duh: ‘TITANFALL 2’ being planned. Will drop on PS4, too.
In a move shocking EVERYONE, everyone!, there’s going to be a Titanfall 2. Go figure. Was a bit of an underground indie hit, but hey maybe there’s some credit there. Also shocking EVERYONE!, to the point where they were puking chunks of esophagus onto their keyboards in surprise, is that it won’t be an XB1 exclusive.
Rumor: REMASTERED ‘HALO’ COLLECTION dropping on XB1 THIS YEAR
HEY KIDS! Bummed out that Halo 5: Guardians of the Galaxy ain’t dropping until 2015? Me too! Are you also a consumerist whore like me, who will buy visually improved editions of games you already own? THEN I MAY HAVE A FUCKING SALVE FOR YOU.
