Minecraft seems wonderful. Beyond my ADD-addled brain, but wonderful. Seems to encourage creativity in the youth and beyond, and I respect the fuck out of that. So I continue to cheer on its rampant, rampaging success.

Candy Crush outgrossed Nintendo in Q1. Outgrossed an entire company. I don’t want to dump on Nintendo, especially since I’m sweating Mario Kart 8 so hard. Someone. Just send me your Wii U. I’ll reciprocate by sending you toe nail clippings, and three already-worn (to the gym, bed, and the sewer) Star Wars t-shirts. Anyways, yeah. I don’t want to dump on Nintendo, so let’s frame this as an example of how goddamn staggering the mobile gaming market has become.

I bag on J.J. Abrams a lot, but I’m pretty fucking excited about this news. Homeboy isn’t an auteur or anything, but he is visually stunning, and more than competent. In 2015, we’re getting Whedon-powered Avengers 2, and Abrams-fueled Episode VII. Praise the Makers.
