Mixed bag of news here, friends. We’re getting a Fallout TV series on Amazon. Which is rad. But, it’s by the creators of Westworld. Which sucks.
Atomik Grain Spirit is vodka made from grains taken from Chernobyl’s Exclusion Zone. ‘Fallout’ fans, pop your boners!
I feel as though it’s particularly Fallout to take a rip of this shit. This shit? Atomik Grain Spirit, a vodka made from grains taken from Chernobyl’s Exclusion Zone.
Bethesda sues ‘Westworld’ game creators alleging it steals ‘Fallout Shelter’ code. Why not, the show steals everything else!
Real talk! I don’t think Westworld is very good! So, I’m using this moment to take a cheap shot at it. I apologize. This news, though? Bethesda is alleging that the makers of the Westworld game rips-off Fallout Shelter assets.
Here’s the teaser trailer for Fallout 76, and a bit more corroborated speculation pertaining to its gameplay. According to multiple sources, it’s going to be an online survival RPG. Which, I’ll admit, is more enticing to me than a fucking Overwatch clone as rumored.
Bethesda is teasing…something, folks. Most think it’s Fallout related, given the classic “Please Stand By Image”, which makes sense. Others like me are hoping it’s a reveal of the long-rumored Starfield. I mean, what if the palette switch means Starfield *takes place* in the Fallout universe?! Whatever the fuck it is, I’m pumped.
What the fuck, Sony.
Ain’t this some mash-up of atom-punk optimism and dystopian-rot wastelanding. The Ukrainian government is hoping to secure the funding to turn Chernobyl’s exclusion zone into a giant solar farm. So dope.
I started this series doing some serious base building. I could feel I was getting behind the games power curve so I was looking for some quick XP. I did nothing but build up 4 settlements, set up supply lines and try to get a steady supply of food and water as the next few quests were pretty far south and I knew all that running meant I would need to have supplies.
After I left the safety of my settlements I proceeded to die. A lot. One shot by a radscorpion. Two shot by a ghoul I didn’t see. One shot by a mine. One shot by a stray grenade that was thrown while I was in VATS and immediately blew up when I exited. Beat to death by a baseball bat weilding raider. The list goes on. Between level 10 and 20 I was beatdown and humbled many times over. At one point, I really did want to quit.
Fallout 4‘s official mod tools have been in the works for a bit now. The lack of official support hasn’t stopped PC users from providing their own wonderful mods, but slime-race, console dickheads like myself have been made to suffer.
