Betelgeuse Sheds Billions of Kilometers of Space Dust. Colossal.

That red outlined spec in the middle of that picture is Betelgeuse. The roaring, rumbling, amorphous sexily shaded cloud surrounding it is an enormous nebula of dust.

The ATV-2 Johannes Kepler Looks Like A Real Life X-Wing.

Through the sheer will of our Collective Unconscious, we have willed Star Wars into exist. Orbiting the perimeter of our dimension is clearly a feet of X-Wings, waiting to strike us bastards. Or, when the meds don’t work, the Angels in basement sing such things to me. In reality, this is a picture of the  ATV-2 Johannes Kepler, which just happens to look like my favorite unit of space-combat destruction.

Saturn’s Moon Helene Is A Shy One!

A couple of days ago, Cassini zipped past Helene. It was a relatively close to this moon of Saturn, and it snapped this sexy picture. Relatively close being 4,300 miles, which is like nothing in cosmic-universeo-wunder-terms.

Mercury Goes Wunder-Rainbow In New Picture.

One of the dopest things going on in the Space-Wunder-Cosmos is the use of our various means of photography to snag pictures of celestial beasts. MESSENGER has made 100 orbits around Mercury, snapping all sorts of picture. None of them are as colorful and snazzy-a-riffic as this latest one.

Centaurus A Is A Sexy Ball of Dust!

Alright, so it’s actually an elliptical galaxy. Whatever its shape,  Centaurus A is suffering and it’s making it all the prettier. After recently colliding with another galaxy, it’s been absorbing all sorts of gorgeous galactic debris, giving it the look it now has.
