I know this news article should be about how the people behind Captain America: Unthaw Bucky and Let Him Fuck Stuff Up are coming close to casting the female lead. I know it. On an intellectual level. But all I want to do is talk about how excited I am that I’m going to get to rub at my jeans while Black Widow prances across the screen during the flick. I’m sorry. Captain America: Winter Soldier Rules co-director Anthony Russo recently opened up to The Huffington Post about the direction Cap’s sequel is going. He does a lot of dancing around the issues, but I don’t know what else you would expect. Movie is almost two years out, it is a bit early to begin going spoiler alerting.

Marvel has this thing they do, where if there’s a moderately enjoyable film of theirs, they manage to squeeze the director out of the chair. This is in contrast to paying them what they deserve, or giving them the control they probably earned. Captain America 2  is getting going, and the director who made the flick isn’t even on the potential list of minds to helm the sequel.
