Yesterday, Anonymous Dropped DoJ, RIAA, MPAA and More Offline.

Anonymous was a little  bit cheesed about the U.S. Justice Department taking down popular website Megaupload.com the day after the internet went somewhere near dark to protest SOPA. In response they dropped the hammer on a considerable amount of impressively high-target websites.

Monday Morning Commute: Iroquois Fistfight

All hands on deck! We’re approaching terminal velocity on Spaceship Omega, hurtling towards the end of the workweek at breakneck speed! Ah hell, we should’ve recalibrated the autopilot! The social contract allows for an early reprieve from indentured servitude this week, and now we’re rocketing ahead at a rate that’s virtually guaranteeing a crash landing.

Anonymous Hacks Syria’s Ministry of Defense Website.

Earlier today the Syrian Ministry of Defense’s website displayed a message from Anonymous. Perhaps I don’t follow the hacktivist group closely enough, but this seems like their most bold move yet. It’s one thing to mess with a corporation, but I can’t imagine the stupidity/balls to bring down a government website and replace it with a rambling regarding tyranny.
