‘Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’ Campaign Trailer: Power and Mech Suits 4 All

spacetime

I consider it something of a personal flaw that I love the Call of Duty franchise. Love it while acknowledging that its brotastic jingoism certainly strives for the Lowest Common Denominator. And there it finds me. Covered in Diet Mountain Dew cans, Doritos flakes, and a raging hard-on to take down injustice everywhere. For America.

EA rolling out Xbox One subscription. $5 a month for their “best” games.

Battlefield 4

How badly do you want to suckle upon the teat of Electronic Arts and their “best” games? Because for $5 a month, or $30 a year, you’re going to be able to have access to them through an upcoming subscription service. Would you? For me — it would depend on how soon you get new releases? Like, I don’t need to pay for your backlog, EA. Anything you’re publishing that’s worth playing I’m going to buy day one.

‘Mass Effect 4’ details. And video of the Mako’s return. Srsly.

Mass Effect 4.

I’m pretty sure Mass Effect 4 doesn’t exist. And the minds who have been charged with developing it are obscuring this fact with intermitten morsels of nothingness. Those Fucking Bastards returned at SDCC today, babbling on about the possibilities of the next installment. While offering pretty much nothing, outside of video of the Mako. Which is the best sign yet that they’re trolling us.

Images and video after the break.

2K is teasing something ‘BioShock.’ My money is on a remaster

Bite the Apple!

Earlier this summer, the Head Czar of  Take-Two stated that there was a future for both the BioShock and Red Dead franchises. So it shouldn’t be that surprising that we are hearing that 2K is teasing something related to the former franchise. However, what is a bit unexpected is how close the tease is to the aforementioned statements. What exactly is 2K teasing? Who knows. But if I had to bet – given that they just confirmed the series is alive – it’s a “hey don’t forget about us while we work on a new installment” remaster of the original game(s).

Valve’s crazy Steambox controller is getting pretty vanilla

Steambox Controller

When Valve first revealed their controller for the Steam Hot Bot Your PC Games Console (and other sundry uses), it was a pretty fucking odd device. Such unconventional. Much out-of-box. But as time has progressed, the controller has become more and more homogenized into standard gaming fare. Case-in-point. The latest iteration of the fucker has gained a thumbstick.

‘The Last of Us’ being performed as a play for one night. With the original cast.

The Last of Us.

Somehow The Last of Us slipped through the gaming cracks for me last year. But I ain’t making that mistake twice, and I’ve already fired off a pre-order to the Devil That Is Amazon for the PS4 remaster. However despite not playing the title,  I’m well aware that it is a magical experience. So the idea of a fucking one-night theater production of the extravaganza smacks of awesome to me.

New ‘Mighty No. 9’ Gameplay Footage: It’s progressing mega well

Mighty No. 9!

Here’s some new footage from the upcoming Megaman Sequel Mighty No. 9 by the good creator of the Robot Boy himself. And goddamn, if it isn’t looking like everything we’d expect from a Megaman Sequel this spiritual successor. I’ll say it again — ya dun goofed, Capcom.

‘Doom 4’ Details: It’s just ‘Doom’, and it’s f**king brutal

behold

The lucky pricks at QuakeCon have gotten to bask in the glory that was the Doom 4 reveal. And while none of us newbie-ass-scrub-fucks who didn’t attend can see it, it doesn’t mean some details haven’t proliferated. Into the main-guts of the internet.

Dude wins SF4 EVO championship using stock PS1 controller

Luffy, bruh.

The EVO (fighting game tournament, you fucking scrubs) championships were this weekend. And the dude who took home the prize in Street Fighter 4 dominated the game using a PS1 controller. I find this particularly amazing, as someone who is talentless in fighting games, and permanently enamored with the PSX.
