Ancestor Of All Life On Earth Was Planetary Super-Organism? Dork Squee!
News specifically designed to manipulate my Science Dork G-Spot is this idea put forth by researches at University of Illinois. Even while it’s probably doomed to being disproved let us speculate and moan.
THIS WEEK ON Dexter: Get Gellar
The finale to this week’s Dexter is going to be the raging chasm of debate that’ll spurn on the rest of the season. Either you’re digging the titty-twisting-tweak to the Doomsday Killer storyline or you’re throwing yellow flags and screaming foul on the play. Drunk with Turkey and Gravy and Commerce after this Thanksgiving weekend, you’re either giggling burping sloppy animal juice or you’re slathered in hate and carbohydrates condemning the writers as manipulative hacks.
Well, where do you land?
Give It Up for THANKS!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving, children and men and babes of the Omega-verse. I know it’s corny, but I kind of like the `ole giving thanks thing. Ya know, sittin’ round the table in the fellowship of friends and family, and letting them know that there are aspects of existence for which we’re appreciative.
So let’s do that. Hit up the comments section and share what you’re actually thankful for this year.
Human Stem Cells Transplanted Into Mouse Brains. What Are We Doing?!
A trans-species transplant of brain matter? What could go wrong? How about everything. In the name of science, we continue charging into the chasm of our eventual doom.
Fetus Donates Stem Cells To Heal Mother’s Heart. Pay Dat Forward!
How is this for some goddamn mind boggling bullshit. The curious case of a mouse fetus donating stem cells to help repair its mother’s heart. That’s some altruism right there, if I ever seen it.
THIS WEEK ON Walking Dead: Secrets
Last week we left Glenn and Maggie in a barn full of walkers. If you didn’t watch it, its not what you think Hershel is keeping them there with a purpose. This week we pick up with Carl and Lori feeding chicken, discussing philosophy. Carl’s utterance of the line “Everything’s food for something else” feeds into Lori’s doubt about giving birth to a child in this world. Its an interesting view of how a child adapts to the situation he’s been put in. There’s no moral dilemma, there’s no internal conflict. Its just a simple transition. “Oh, people turn into flesh eating monsters and we have to kill them … ok.” Change doesn’t affect children as much because they have less of a routine. This whole episode deals with people at different stages of their lives and how they’ve adjusted.
THIS WEEK ON Dexter: Sin of Omission
It’s going to be hard to weep for dumb ass Dexter in two seasons when the show concludes. With a crying Deb laying over his splattered skullcap, cursing the Nefarious Fates for weaving such a tale, I won’t weep with her. As the season continues trudging towards its somewhat blasé ending, one thing is becoming painstakingly clear. Dexter is a douchebag.
Spaceship Omega: Dance In The Sticky Furred Madness.
What’s going on, Omegalytes? It’s later in the day on a frosty Friday evening, and I figured I would drop a line. Check in. Press pause. Throw up a high-five or so. I’m in my pajamas, Turkey Day is approaching. You know! That day. The day where we’re so fucking thankful for everything we consume like a bunch of renegade assholes as opposed to something like fasting and helping out someone in need. Hey, I’m just pointing it out. I’ll be bloat-gutted by sundown. Stuffed with flesh and gravy and smiles.
Video: The World’s First Footage Of A Female’s Brain During An Orgasm.
It’s hard to talk about this video without coming off like some pig-man-child. I am one, so the guilt is lathered doubly thick. However, science has captured a female’s brain activity during an orgasm, and I am certain once more than progress is real.
THIS WEEK ON Dexter: Nebraska
Dexter rolled out this week with his bro 4 life, and afterlife. It was a switch I didn’t see coming. If this was an RPG, it would be a totally arduous but ultimately rewarding side-quest. It didn’t add to the main narrative, but it was an interesting sojourn. Plus!, the loot was fantastic. Dexter gained two talent points that he could place in Sanity, which is clutch.
