Microsoft’s $7.5 billion purchase of Bethesda parent company ZeniMax approved by US and EU regulators. Actually interesting exclusives incoming?

microsoft zenimax acquisition approved

Microsoft’s gotten the green light to buy the fuck out of Bethesda’s parent company, ZeniMax. I think we all sort of thought it was a fait accompli, but now that shit is really happening. And with it? My god! Could, could Microsoft actually have some interesting exclusives? Finally?

Oculus Lawsuit Ends With ZeniMax Being Awarded $500 Million. That’s A Lot of Junior Bacons

oculus lawsuit zenimax awarded half billion

The lawsuit between Oculus and ZeniMax has reached (a first) conclusion, with the latter being awarded $500 million. That’s, that’s a lot of Junior Bacon Cheeseburgers, man. What’s the applicable shade of gray? Who cares. Watching Big Dumb Companies fight is fun for me.

John Carmack left ID SOFTWARE because they were like “NOPE” to Oculus Rift development

John Carmack.

John Carmack, the coding genius/nightmare behind Quake and Doom left id Software last year. While most thought it was because he wanted to roll much deeper with the Oculus Rift, there’s a bit more to the story. Specifically, he was all “let’s like partner the fuck up! with Oculus” and the parent company ZeniMax was like “naw, bruh.”
