Aronofsky’s ‘Noah’ Will Shoot This Summer, Feature Ballin’ Villain.

Matthew Libatique who is oft a cinematographer for Mr. Darry Aronofsky has dropped some details regarding Noah. Shooting dates, and the villain. Which apparently isn’t God, which would have been totally cool. IMO retcon the Bible.

I’m pretty excited for Darren Aronofsky’s Noah, which has been in development for a bit now. Finally!, finally they’ve made their securement (is that a word? I think it is, nothing is coming up.) of funds official. Paramount and New Regency, come on down!

Paramount Is Backing Aronofsky’s ‘Noah.’ Hell Yes. (Heaven Yes?)

Darren Aronofsky wants Noah to be a huge-ass event bio-apocalypse flick starring Christian Bale. That takes many a cheddar to make happen, and Aronofsky has been trying to find funding for the project.

With reports that Paramount is joining the fray, that search seems over.

Darren Aronofsky Trying To Land Christian Bale For ‘Noah.’ Yes Please!

Darren Aronofsky’s epic biblical disaster flick Noah looks like it really may be happening. You can’t destroy the planet in biblical proportions without a budget, and this pig is looking to cost a cool $130 million. With half of the funding secured, Aronofsky is scrambling to get another studio to put up the cheddar. How can he do that more easily? By getting an actor like Christian Bale to hop aboard.

Aronofsky’s Next Project Is “Noah”, Set In A Biblical Apocalypse. Yes.

Last month Darren Aronofsky revealed he had plans for a graphic novel he wanted to parlay into a flick. Some peeps speculated that it may have been an alteration of his Batman pitch back in the day. Well, then folks are wrong. Today we know what it is, and it sounds fucking awesome. The graphic novel is Noah, and it is an adaptation of one of Aronofsky’s unproduced flicks. The project will be released in 2012, and is being illustrated by Pride of Baghdad’s Nico Henrichon. Hungry for more?

It’s a really cool project and I think it’s really timely because it’s about environmental apocalypse which is the biggest theme, for me, right now for what’s going on on this planet. So I think it’s got these big, big themes that connect with us. Noah was the first environmentalist. He’s a really interesting character. Hopefully they’ll let me make it.
