When I saw the first clip of Marvel’s first short film ‘The Consultant’ I was all haterizing. Now that I’ve seen the whole thing? It amused me. It also doesn’t hurt that I am totally dying for the Avengers movie. So bad.

Really, Frank Cho? You had to give Sin, the daughter of the Red Skull hulking, massive, painfully engorged breasts? Sigh. It’s particularly impressive that she can flaunt such things given the fact that her arms are skeleton gaunt.

Brian Wood To Work For Marvel, Writing ‘Wolverine’ Title? Glory Be! Yes!
Brian Wood’s DC exclusive stint is coming to an end with the conclusion of DMZ and the cancellation of Northlanders looming. What’s he going to do in addition to use usual plate of creator-owned material? Apparently rock out with Sir Logan of Cut-A-Lot.

Marvel Teasing The Return Of The ‘Scarlet Spider’? Make Mine Reilly!
Fact: the greatest Spider-Man of all time was Ben Reilly. Second is obviously going to be Miles Morales. Parker can be a third if he asks nicely. Reilly held it absolutely down as the Scarlet Spider for a bit, and with Marvel teasing the return of said Scarlet, I hope it means we’ll get some bleach blond spider-action going on soon.

Trailer: ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance’ Pisses Hot Fire of Awesome.
Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor are awesome. Nic Cage is insane. The Ghost Rider is ludicrous. This combination, this very combination my friends, is going to team-up to provide us with one of the most ridiculous, outstanding, odd, absurd action flicks ever! EVER! Or. Or well. Or well at least a really entertaining movie next February.

Marvel Drops Second ‘Shattered Heroes’ Teaser. Cheer Up Guys!
Marvel’s released a second teaser for Shattered Heroes coming in October. Is it a mini-series? A motif? I’m not certain, and and the preview doesn’t specify.

[Update] I blathered on this afternoon about The Forgiven, and the line of Marvel teasers dedicated to them. I said “Derpa derpa, what could these people be?” Well Marvel up and told everyone mere hours later. Egg on my face, friends. Egg on my face!

Marko Manev brings the world a delicious selection of minimalist Marvel posters. Has minimalism jumped the shark yet? I know I can’t get enough of it, but it has to be approaching critical mass. What’s the inversion? Excessivism? I’m eagerly awaiting that turn as well.

Marvel Releases Third Teaser For Hickman’s ‘4’, This One Is Flame-On.
Marvel’s released a third teaser for November’s ‘4’ event which is looking more and more like a commomeration of Fantastic Four #600. I predicted it would be J. Storm-less. Today I’m feeling foolish.
