Sam Humphries To Co-Write ‘Ultimate Comics Ultimates’ With Hickman. Wuttt. Yeahhh!
Fucking shit, man. We should just call it Sam Humphries Wank Week here at OL. Dude is going cosmic-big on the blow-up scale. The latest news? He’s co-writing (and eventually ascending to single writer) Ultimate Comics Ultimates with Jonathan Hickman. This should answer what happens when two of my favorites collide. This is Brubaker/Fraction on Iron Fist levels of bonery.

Marvel Announces ‘Avengers Assemble’, Making It The 933rd Avengers Title.
If there’s one thing I need absolutely no more of, it’s a Brian Michael Bendis-powered Avengers title. Well with the movie coming out, it’s sour grapes and tough rocks in my sandwich. Lots of rocks. Making all too much corporate sense, Marvel has announced BMB will be heading up a new title in some wonderful cross-medium synergy.

The summer is going to be the ultimate Comic Book Fanboy & Fan Girl Wunder-Deluge as far as movie adaptations goes. It can only go downhill from here. Is there going to be anything dropping next year that’ll come close to this year’s wild assortment? Well there’s uh, the new Wolverine movie. Which is uh…cool?

The comic market experienced its best January in four fucking years. I mean, we have to be happy about this, right?

There was some soccer game last night or some shit *cough* and I didn’t really watch it or something. However, apparently a really awesome Avengers trailer aired during it that may or may not be capable of cheering up people who rooted for the New Britain Red Coats or whatever.
