Creators create. That’s what they do, and I imagine that’s what Hayao Miyazaki is either discovering or accepting about himself now. The legend has come out of retirement, again, and Studio Ghibli has reopened in order to produce Miyazaki’s next movie.
Hayao Miyazaki is out of retirement. ‘Cause you can’t keep a talented auteur down, right? I mean. Like. Dude lives for this shit. As long as he lives, I imagine he’s going to be making films.
Hayao Miyazaki may be retiring from the whole beautiful-animated-film game, but that dude isn’t just going to sit around on his ass. Playing with his gorgeous beard. Naw. Not even. Dude is getting into the manga drawing game. Makes me feel lazy as fuck!
Bad news, world. Hayao Miyazaki is throwing up the deuces after his next film is released. Miyazaki is responsible for a legion of flicks that have inspired like at least thirty-three thousand people. Myself included. The good sir is also responsible for making at least three people I knew who “didn’t like that gay anime shit” begrudgingly admit they did. His retirement is a loss.
