Hideo Kojima isn’t making a new game engine for his next game
Hideo Kojima, as the title tells ya, isn’t making a new game engine for his next game, the first under his new studio. While there isn’t any denying that the Fox Engine fucking rips, it also took the dude and his squad forever to create. Kojima knows this, and also knows that “forever to create” thing would undermine his other goal: to get his first title out under the Kojima Productions banner more quickly than usual.
Doom 2016 or Mad Max: Punch Hell in the Face
In between playing Dark Souls 3 and waiting for Overwatch, Doom came up on steam. I hadn’t paid much attention because a) what 30 year old gamer doesn’t have a giant back log already and b) the last time I played Doom it was a slow wannabe survival horror game where using the flashlight made me want to uninstall the game.
The game comes with the tag “push forward combat” that caught my interest. After reading a bit more I bought it on a whim. After all, Bethesda already owns half my hard drive.

I was already going to begrudgingly buy a PlayStation 4.5/PlayStation Neo/whatever you want to call it. But being a complete sucker, I’ll totally buy it, if Sony includes backwards compatibility in the motherfucker. Please! Sony! Please!
‘DOOM’ Launch Trailer: Heavy Metal Demon Destruction
Lost in the shuffle of Uncharted 4‘s final arrival is the fact that there’s a goddamn DOOM game dropping this week. Oh me? This guy? Going to have to pass on it. You know, given Uncharted 4. But I’m eagerly anticipating the game’s reviews, cause if it turns out good I’m definitely grabbing it down the road.

‘Fallout 4’ Far Harbor DLC Trailer: Paid Our Dues In Blood & Bullets
I spent four months playing Fallout 4. Four fucking months. Loved it. Love it. That said, I’m terrified about getting back into it with the release of Far Harbor. The game steals me, steals my mind, steals my heart. To escape once was lucky, may I escape twice? We shall find out, I suppose.
