Comic Book Legend Darwyn Cooke has passed away at 53
Frakin’ terrible, man. I don’t know Cooke’s work as well as I would like, but even still, I’ve enjoyed what I’ve consumed, and regret that which I haven’t.
Michael B. Jordan joins Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ movie; this is going to own
Michael B. Jordan has been cast in the Black Panther movie, rejoining director Ryan Coogler for a third flick. Jordan rules, and I’m glad to see him putting his stamp on what appears to be a dope comic book movie. We will all forget about F4 soon enough, fictional son of Creed.
‘Supergirl’ gets second season on CW; ‘Agent Carter’ cancelled
One fan fave gets renewed, one fan fave gets axed. I don’t have a particular allegiance to either, though I really wanted to watch Agent Carter and I feel 100% responsible for its demise. Regarding Supergirl, I’m not really interested. However, I support it on principal, seeing that it is a DC property that doesn’t brood and gloom its way through existence.
Joel Kinnaman cast as lead in ‘Altered Carbon’ adaptation for Netflix
A big question regarding the upcoming Altered Carbon adaptation for Netflix: how are they going to handle a series where the main character is constantly switching bodies (or as they’re called, sleeves)? I’m not sure. Especially if they go big name with the initial casting, which they have (sort of) done, casting Joel Kinnaman as Kovacs.
Nicolas Winding Refn’s ‘The Neon Demon’ is hitting theaters June 24
Feels like we’ve been talking about The Neon Demon for a minute, and now the fucking release is upon us! Fuck yeah! I’m down for more Nicolas Winding Refn, even if I thought Only God Forgive could be Forgiven By God.

I was already going to begrudgingly buy a PlayStation 4.5/PlayStation Neo/whatever you want to call it. But being a complete sucker, I’ll totally buy it, if Sony includes backwards compatibility in the motherfucker. Please! Sony! Please!
