THIS WEEK ON True Blood: Soul of Fire
‘Soul of Fire’ wasn’t a bad episode of True Blood by any means. In fact it was the most entertained I was in a good while in this season. It had everything I want in a True Blood episode. Almost no Sookie (let’s not get greedy), brooding bro-dude vampire posturing over barely hidden homosexual tension, Jessica, and rocket launchers. Chyeah boy! It had it all. If this episode didn’t entertain me, chances are I was never going to be.

Gears of War, BioShock, Halo Done In 16-Bit Pixelated Glory.
There’s a certain sheen to the pixelated wonders that populated video games during my adolsence. Michael Myers is an artist who has taken the more contemporary protagonists of gaming present and thrown them into 16-bit pixelated disarray.
It’s awesome.

This picture of Bruce Campbell is seven-shades of bad assery. Which makes sense, since Ash is the shining definition of boomstick-rockitude. I don’t know what I’m typing.

The above picture is g’damn outstanding. It’s a picture from the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter showing the Apollo 12 mission in fantastic detail. To stop and contemplate this is a picture of a different body in space where man has been. And we can see our marks.
Sony Hires Homeland Security Official, Beware PSN Hackers!
The snafu that brought Sony’s PSN to its knees isn’t likely to happen again! No siree! Sony has hired themselves an official from Homeland Security, and if there’s anything that screams raging competence its a US government official. Right? Right!

Official Omega-Level Rebel Alliance Update: Kickstarter Is Actually a Part of the Evil Empire
Hello, Omega-Level Rebel Alliance.
Last week, I offered it up to you fine people here at OL whether or not it was a good idea to start a Kickstarter campaign to buy the Star Wars franchise to save the original trilogy, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. Not only did we decide that it was a most worthy venture, but there was simply no other realistic option; creating a Kickstarter in order to raise enough money to buy Star Wars from George Lucas was clearly the right thing to do.
Breaking Bad: Hermanos
9 episodes into the season and miraculously a flashback doesn’t slow down the show at all. Seeing the some of the Chicken Man’s origin story added a reservoir’s worth of depth to the show – especially the point where at now. Being put into a situation where he doesn’t know what’s coming is certainly something Gus isn’t used to. He’s quick on his feet and great at improving, but he was visibly shook in the elevator. And while Gus may not be a person of interest to the DEA, but that doesn’t stop Hank from going maverick on his ass. On top of that, the Cartel isn’t budging and Jesse is still a wild card.
Monday Morning Commute: Bears, Wolves, and Ghosts
It’s Labor Day, so hopefully none of you are reading this after having put in a full day’s work. Today is the last HURRAH!, the final chance to high-five Summer before he starts putting his suitcases into the trunk of his car. Don’t worry, he’ll be back next year to regale us with hot-dogs and sunburns and countless hours of molasses-paced baseball. Everything’s going to be all right.
Besides, I can already see Autumn’s car down the road. He’s cruising towards us in a pickup truck full of pumpkins and foliage and warm apple pies. So as long as we stay strong during Summer’s departure, we’ll be fine.

I need Diablo III so badly. I am beginning to believe it actually exists. Today some new footage has leaked showing character select menus and the such. It makes me a bit dribbly in more than one orifice. Sorry. Gross! Nasty. When I’m this disarrayed from excitement I just reach back for the old comfort pitch: bodily fluid references.
