‘BATMAN’ #1 Sells For Record Setting $850,000. That’s A Considerable Sum.

Batman #1  is not the debut issue of the Bats, but that hasn’t stopped a copy of it from selling for a considerable amount of dollah-dollah-bills, ya’ll.

Robot 6:

A near-mint copy of 1940′s  Batman  #1, which marks the first appearances of the Joker and Catwoman, sold this week for $850,000 – a record for that issue – in  a private transaction arranged by Heritage Auctions. The seller purchased the comic just two years ago for $315,000.

G’damn! Nothing like flipping something for half-a-mill more than you paid for it to make the day glow a bit brighter.
