‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ Trailer: So many people returning, including the Emperor?

Man, I don’t really know what’s going on in this trailer. But, it looks like the Whole Squad is reunited and having fun (one last time). I’m ready for The Rise of Skywalker.

CBR:

After almost two years of anticipation, the first teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode IX was unveiled today at Star Wars Celebration Chicago, along with confirmation of the final Skywalker saga film’s elusive subtitle: The Rise of Skywalker.

The footage begins on a desert planet, where we see Rey attacked by a TIE Fighter (presumably being piloted by Kylo Ren). From there, we get shots of Kylo massacring unknown foes and repairing his helmet, Lando Calrissian piloting the Millennium Falcon and Leia embracing Rey as they both shed tears. Then, as the trailer approaches its conclusion, we see Rey, Finn, Poe, C-3PO, BB-8, D-0 and Chewbacca approach what appears to be the wreckage of one of the two Death Stars.

Perhaps the biggest moment, though, is Luke’s voiceover stating, “No one’s ever really gone,” at which point we then hear the cackling of what sounds like Emperor Palpatine.
