Polygon:

Fallout 4 publisher Bethesda Softworks announced the first details of its downloadable content schedule for the game today, saying that it has plans for “more than $60 worth” of add-ons coming in 2016 — and therefore, an increase in the price of the DLC season pass.

Bethesda originally announced the Fallout 4 season pass in September at $29.99. At the time, the company said that the season pass “get you all of the Fallout 4 DLC we ever do for just $30,” and added, “We know that [the DLC] will be worth at least $40, and if we do more, you’ll get it all with the Season Pass.”

That will no longer be the case as of March 1, when, “given the expanded DLC plan,” Bethesda will raise the price of the Fallout 4 season pass from $29.99 to $49.99 in North America (and from £24.99 to £39.99 in the U.K.). Bethesda noted that anyone who already purchased the season pass, or who buys it before March 1, will get all of Fallout 4‘s paid add-ons for the original $29.99 price.

Of course, Fallout 4 players will be able to purchase add-ons individually if they don’t want to commit to the season pass. The game’s first piece of paid DLC is Automatron, which is set for release in March for $9.99 in North America and £7.99 in the U.K. Automatron is a mod-focused expansion that will let you harvest parts from evil robots, including the Robobrain, to build custom robot companions.

Next up is “Wasteland Workshop,” which introduces the ability to design cages for capturing enemies “from raiders to Deathclaws.” You’ll be able to “tame them or have them face off in battle, even against your fellow settlers.” The add-on will also offer new design options for settlements. “Wasteland Workshop” is coming in April for $4.99 in North America and £3.99 in the U.K.

The third Fallout 4 add-on Bethesda announced today is Far Harbor (screenshot above), which is a full story expansion and is priced to match at $24.99 in North America and £19.99 in the U.K. Here’s the full description from Bethesda:

A new case from Valentine’s Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost? Far Harbor features the largest landmass for an add-on that we’ve ever created, filled with new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons. Become more powerful with new, higher-level armor and weapons. The choices are all yours.Bethesda also announced today that it will be running closed betas for each DLC pack on all platforms. Interested parties can sign up on Bethesda’s website right now. Players who are accepted into an add-on’s beta program will receive the DLC for free; the beta is “the full version (complete with achievements),” according to Bethesda.

Aside from the aforementioned DLC schedule, Fallout 4 developer Bethesda Game Studios is working on two additional features: the Creation Kit, which will introduce the ability to create and play Fallout 4 game mods, and the free overhaul of Survival Modethat the company announced last week. The studio also noted that it will continue to deliver free updates like patch 1.2 and patch 1.2.
