CBR:

The “Wonder Woman” movie may be adding a very big star to its cast: According to The Wrap, Nicole Kidman is currently “in ongoing negotiations” to join Warner Bros.’ DC Comics-based film as “a high-ranking Amazonian warrior.” Warner Bros. declined comment on The Wrap’s article.

The Wrap speculates that Kidman may be playing Hippolyta, Wonder Woman’s mother in DC Comics lore, though notes it’s “unclear” at this point even if Hippolyta exists in this version of Wonder Woman history.

Kidman has prior history with DC-based films, playing Dr. Chase Meridian in 1995’s “Batman Forever.” A major film star since the late ’80s, Kidman won the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her role in 2002’s “The Hours.”
