Godard’s ‘Alphaville’ being remade by ‘Twin Peaks’ cinematographer

Godard’s Alphaville is a pretty sparse, but radical gnarly gnarly science-fiction from the Way Back machine. Not one I hear spoken about often, and certainly one I didn’t expect to be remade.

Twin Peaks cinematographer Frank Byers will direct a remake Jean-Luc Godard’s 1965 film Alphaville. The original sci fi film noir followed an agent sent to a dystopian city with orders to destroy it. The remake, written by Franc. Reyes, will present a “fresh take” that reflects today’s political climate.

Hey — whatever. This could certainly be dope.
